As well thought out as your point is, internet protocol dictates that we have to side with the angry uninformed guy with the little weenie. Sorry MU wins.
Horrible decision to fire him. Everybody here likes to cherry pick win/loss records but in 4 years Johnson had a perfect record against HBCU schools and that includes 2 times when Alcorn State was too afraid to even come play us. It's all in how you look at it.
Seemed like a good guy. Regardless of how much money you walk away with, never easy to lose a job.
Wasn’t the right guy for this job, but hopefully finds something if he wants to stay in the game.
I am fine with trying for one of the big established names, but overall think the better option is someone hungry who is experiencing success at a mid-major or lower. Splashes are great but that wears off quickly and then it is time to play.
Yes stocker, if it reinforces your view of the world, everyone who doesn’t like identity based hiring, hates minorities. You can put it on your next blog.
Now let’s move on and talk about the next coach.
Baseball is a funny game. Sometimes the ball gets rolling in the wrong direction and you end up with a huge stinker of a game. Doesn't mean at all that Kansas is that great or we are that bad. It happens and you move on.
Regardless of the fact that they weren't a tourney team when they had them, I think it is pretty obvious they would have won the National Championship if those two had stayed.
I suppose but at least both those guys have been a head coach before and won games at that.
Neither would blow me away but their resumes blow Ben’s away.
Well if that is true(and it absolutely isn't) then why are we even paying Ben what we are? What a waste. Then go find a D2 coach with moderate success pay him $375,000 a year and when the press asks what the heck we are doing? We'll just say hey Coyle and roughly 15% of our fanbase believes that...
