In reality, we need better players all over the field to take a consistent step up. We may have our moments, but to be a top 20 team with recruiting classes typically ranked between 35-55 is a very difficult thing to sustain.

No real deep threat WR's and a QB that does not throw a good deep ball means lack of deep passing game. As others have mentioned here, its not the end of the world.

Yes goals should be higher than 3rd rate bowl games, I would agree. But its not realistic to expect that every year.
