Apparently you can go home again - "Scott Frost reportedly receives 5-year, $22.1 million deal to return to UCF"

I don't disagree....I completely view recruiting rankings as something for entertainment purposes only. But on paper he was bringing in really good talent at Nebraska but it never came together on the field the way. As for UCF, he was only there for 2 seasons the first time so no clue how much...

247 College football bowl projections: Updated spring picks for 2025 season (GameAbove Sport (Big Ten/MAC): Minnesota-Ohio)

You always know we are getting into the slow news time when the preseason bowl projections start coming out. Literally just throwing darts at a board and putting teams against each other.

Apparently you can go home again - "Scott Frost reportedly receives 5-year, $22.1 million deal to return to UCF"

If you put any stock at all in recruiting rankings he wasn't having any trouble getting talented players to commit to Nebraska even if they weren't in his backyard. Nebraska under Frost was the poster child for a team where the recruiting rankings and on field performance did not match at all...

Sporting News: Ex-Gophers QB Max Brosmer has ‘legitimate shot’ to make Vikings 53-man roster

Yep, really easy kid to root for and I certainly wouldn't bet against him. Unlikely that he ever becomes a full-time starter in the NFL but I could see him carving out a spot in the NFL and having a long career. Also seems like the type who could do well in coaching if he wants to go that...

Sporting News: Ex-Gophers QB Max Brosmer has ‘legitimate shot’ to make Vikings 53-man roster

Would be awesome if he could earn the #3 spot. Make a ton of money, keep developing, and who knows, maybe things break for him to be a career backup or even a starter at some point down the line. Backup QB in the NFL is one of the sweetest gigs. You make a lot of money, don't get hit, and...

Apparently you can go home again - "Scott Frost reportedly receives 5-year, $22.1 million deal to return to UCF"

Not a horrible gamble on UCF's part....will be interesting to see if he is able to replicate anything close to the level of success they had in 2017. On the plus side for UCF, they don't have to worry about his dream job swooping in again since they already did that once and it went horribly. :)

Apparently you can go home again - "Scott Frost reportedly receives 5-year, $22.1 million deal to return to UCF"

Coaches getting another chance after failing somewhere else is very common. But this is a gamble by UCF for sure because when Frost was there before they were in the AAC. They are in the Big 12 now so the level of difficulty will be much harder then it was back in 2017. Big 12 is nowhere...

I don't know....I find it refreshing to hear a dean tell it like it is without sugar coating anything. Might be just what this current generation needs.

Hey....now....beggars can't be choosers.....if a kid from a fine upstanding college like South Harmon can play we shouldn't turn them away just because the school might seem a little suspect. https://southharmoninstituteoftechnology.org/

yep....will be interesting to see how the rest of the roster fills out but not holding my breath for any bigtime signings. That said, with the craziness of everything I guess pretty much anything is possible.

    Jefferson is Gone

Yeah, mutual doesn't have to mean we didn't want him it could just means the two sides couldn't come to an agreement so decided it was better for both sides for Jefferson to go elsewhere.

CFN: Minnesota Football Preview 2025: Can PJ Fleck Take Gophers Higher? (It’s the 9th year of the Fleck era. Is there something more than this?)

No doubt Iowa has had the better of the series since Fleck was hired but the margin is razor thin as 5 of the 8 matchups have been 1 score games including all 4 that have been played in Iowa.

Not really the point as this staff has brought in a lot more guys before May 1st whereas last year's staff brought in majority after May 1st. But they did find a few solid pieces after May 1st in Odukale and Patterson. The big difference is that Johnson was still looking for starters after May...

BT Powerhouse: Minnesota Basketball Begins New Era Under Niko Medved Amid Massive Roster Overhaul

Yeah, focus was on new faces but Asuma should at least have been brought up as he is likely to be a large part of the rotation. Less certain with Grove.

Big Ten Football: Biggest post-spring concerns for every team (Minnesota — Who will emerge as the top wide receiver?)

Where are all these posts saying we are set at QB? There is a lot of hope that Drake will be the guy and the way the coaching staff has handled things this off season would indicate they think he is going to be able to get it done as well since they didn't go out and find his replacement they...

Big Ten football 2025 win-loss record predictions for each team after spring practice

lol at the unprepared for the first game BS - Fleck has lost 2 season opening games (not counting the late October opener in 2020 against Michigan). One was against Ohio State in a game we were playing really well in up until we lost Mo for the season. And the other was last year against North...

Big Ten football 2025 win-loss record predictions for each team after spring practice

The article in the OP predicts a win over Nebraska....GPG is a Nebraska fan who will always pick them to beat us and much of their fanbase still expects to beat us every year because Nebraska was once dominant and they have not been able to accept the fact that they no longer are and most likely...

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

It does feel like USC, Indiana and Iowa have signed an insane number of transfers yet looking at 247 USC and Iowa have each brought in 8 (1 more than we have) and Indiana has brought in 10. Just crazy that we are seeing teams with entirely new rosters from one year to the next not due to...

Big Ten football 2025 win-loss record predictions for each team after spring practice

The mistake people make with predictions is they don't allow for them to change and evolve over the course of the season. Early in the season last year there were people legit wanting to see Fleck fired because they had made up their mind that the season was going to be a dumpster fire...
