    Niko’s roster construction

Garcia would have fit really well with the roster that has come together.......but unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you view things we have not reached the point of unlimited college eligibility.....but those days can't be too far off...

    Splash commits

Yeah, never really been a fan of team rankings anyway but you are correct that this current ranking is probably more sustainable then it has been in previous years. In glancing at teams rankings was really surprised to see USC in the top spot with 27 commits already. Nobody else in the current...

    Angel Luciano commits to Gophers!

I could see MSM being a really good recruiter. Young guy, big personality.....

    TYSON TO GOPHERS

Very nice.....hopefully Niko can translate his system to the Big Ten and Tyson can benefit from wide open looks. Massive weapon to have a guy that can drill open 3s, would be awesome if Cade ended up being that guy for us. Low risk, high potential reward pickup.

    Splash commits

Looks like Splash week 1 was a success as usual. Hopefully get similar results in a couple weeks at the next one. And who knows, maybe some of the guys who haven't jumped on board yet from this weekend will do so in the near future as well. Wonder how big of a high school class they are...

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

In general it would seem like if you are certain to be a first round pick (especially top 20) it is probably in your best interests to go pro as I would assume most of those guys find their way onto active NBA rosters (but have no proof to back that up just guessing). Obviously there are always...

These 5 teams could win the Big Ten, but only with a little luck and a lot of help (4. Minnesota)

Fixed the Minnesota section as we don't play PSU not OSU. USC is a wild card but hasn't been up to their old standards for a while. Illinois and Michigan both caught a break only playing 1 of the Big 3 which is why I think both of them could be in the mix. If Illinois is good though they...

These 5 teams could win the Big Ten, but only with a little luck and a lot of help (4. Minnesota)

If it does play out the OSU, PSU and Oregon are the top 3 then PSU holds the key to the conference this year since they are the only one that plays the other 2 and OSU/Oregon don't meet in the regular season. Oregon and OSU could run the table in their other games.

72 or 76 team NCAA tournament.....NCAA determined to ruin one of the best things in sports.

The most recent expansion to 68 was a dud and most people really don't even view those extra games as part of the tournament. They don't even get their own spot on brackets and most office pools consider Thursday the actual start of the games. But yeah, it is going to happen because the people...

72 or 76 team NCAA tournament.....NCAA determined to ruin one of the best things in sports.

Yeah...his reasoning for why the tournament isn't perfect as is anyway is because of the games that most fans don't care about already so adding more is no big deal....yep....makes total sense. He does hit on the gambling angle though.....more stuff to bet on so has to be good right? Only time...

72 or 76 team NCAA tournament.....NCAA determined to ruin one of the best things in sports.

Yep....really a shame that they can't leave a really good thing alone in the quest for more $$$. Going to 68 was dumb (though it didn't really alter the tournament that much so it wasn't a big deal)....expanding further though is just stupid. Gong to need 2 or 3 page brackets for all the teams.

72 or 76 team NCAA tournament.....NCAA determined to ruin one of the best things in sports.

I know it has been discussed here but this just came across on Yahoo. Damn shame they are determined to ruin one of the few truly good things left in college athletics right now. All about the $$$.... edit......Author is very against the idea. Of course the NCAA people are trying to pretend...

    Tyson to Minnesota?

Low risk, high reward prospect. Already have majority of roster in place so if he doesn't pan out it doesn't kill you but if they can get him back to the guy he was at Belmont could be a really nice boost to the roster. Hopefully he comes on board.

These 5 teams could win the Big Ten, but only with a little luck and a lot of help (4. Minnesota)

I could easily see Illinois having a season like Indiana did last year with their schedule. As for Michigan....a ton will of course hinge on their hotshot young QB. Of the big 3 (Ohio State, Penn State and Oregon) they only face OSU. If things break right for them I could see them being in...

Denver Broncos have a view on transfers

I don't disagree but I do think one common element through the years was an emphasis on putting in the work and earning your playing time. This current generation (especially in the last few years) is being taught that when it gets hard just go somewhere else to get your instant gratification...

Denver Broncos have a view on transfers

Have already seen some comments from current NFL players about some of the new guys coming into the league and how entitled they are. Breeding an interesting generation of players that are being taught that if they don't get what they want right away they can just go somewhere else.

These 5 teams could win the Big Ten, but only with a little luck and a lot of help (4. Minnesota)

Weird article all the way around.....lists Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State as front runners....nothing wrong there. Then proceeds to list 5 teams that could win the conference but for some reason leaves out the 2 most likely contenders in Illinois and Michigan who both have really nice...

Denver Broncos have a view on transfers

Agree.....but it could be kind of a tiebreaker thing....if you have two players that you feel very similar about in terms of talent you might lean towards the one who showed some loyalty to his college program as opposed to jumping around between schools.

Denver Broncos have a view on transfers

In college a player can threaten to transfer if they don't get what they want and they have the ability to just up and leave, go somewhere else and play right away the next season. NFL players don't have that kind of leverage and only the best of the best have the ability to hold out for more...

Denver Broncos have a view on transfers

Fair point but finding a QB that hasn't transferred is not an easy task these days with the way QBs move around anymore. It is going to be interesting to see how players handle the transition from college where they have had most of the power to the NFL where they actually have to earn their...
