It's the smart move in today's world to take the OSU offer if it exists. Either you break out on a high profile team or you transfer to a team like MN down the line like Carroll did. If he gets buried on the depth chart, I expect to see him transfer here for the 2026 season.

Updated with Jide decommiting. The list I have are walk-ons who have received a scholarship before. While I agree Nubin will probably get one of there is room, he doesn't quite qualify for the list yet as he hasn't received one before (to my knowledge)

Alright, if it is him, I agree with your statement of solid hire, but not a home run. He's got proven experience running a solid D, so hopefully we won't shit the bed next season on D. Maybe he can keep some of those defensive commits here as well...

If we could pull Joe H from Rutgers, I would be happy. I also remember earlier in the season PJ mentioned something about clashing philosophies on the coaching staff. I wonder if maybe Rossi was disagreeing with some of the other defensive coaches? And then if PJ wasn't fully taking Rossi's...

Next year is tough, but I don't think as scary as I initially thought. Maybe that's the optimism talking though...

Updated with the three transfer commitments this weekend. Sounds like 3 of our HS recruits may decommit soon so we'll see if we stay at 1 open spot or go back to 4.

Harbaugh has no OC or QB coaching experience, and this season didn't give me confidence in either of those skills, but to be fair to him there may be other confounding factors. If Max Brosmer can even be middle of the pack as far as big ten QBs, then we may get to see if Harbaugh was partially...

Penn State and Florida were 10-2 that year as well and in the top ten, so clearly who the two losses were too and how bad they were clearly matter. I don't think it's unreasonable to imagine a world where we hit the criteria.

No, they will just pick the two "best teams" and have them play for the championship. No idea what the tie breakers are going to be.

Yep, Dragan is a walk-on too. I think he may be on a yearly scholarship now, but I think they have to be renewed every year for walk-ons? They don't really give much info around that.

This was my interpretation too, but it may be wrong. Give the schools in that subdivision the power to either try to equal the playing field themselves, or let it run rampant.

I'm kinda hoping for Mich to win handily against Bama and for FSU to take down Georgia, just so that we have evidence that the wrong decision was made. If Georgia beats FSU and/or Bama wins it all, then the committee has some ground to stand on with their decision.

I believe Jordan Nubin is indeed a walk-on. I agree that when the dust settles, he'll get a scholarship if one is available.

Being able to execute when playing from behind is a valuable skill too, could've used it this year a few times. Heck, the early part of 2019 would've been different had we not been able to execute when behind either.
