Looked like it hurt. OSU may have to put in the second of their six 5-star QBs in the second half. Poor them.

AK's bullet on 3rd down to put the game away

BC it was our best chance getting a first down, and the play call was perfect, and a first down all but seals the game. THAT one, singular play, Pj and company actually played to win, and I commend them for that beautiful singular play call amongst a sea of terrible late game play calls over...

#7 at safety is a failed experiment....

because he ran into Nubin’s zone?Seems like 7 and 27 did not communicate properly. 7 can only let him go if 27 takes him. Again, to me the bigger problem was that their QB was allowed so much time to let such a play develop. Pathetic.

#7 at safety is a failed experiment....

Yes, that is exactly what the QB said. He fooled us. A lot of questions here, including why we don’t have a QB as good as Illinois’ backup.

    PJ channeling Glen Mason?

very few - if any - other teams in the nation would have decided not to try to put pressure on a cold QB coming into the game in that situation. He succeeded just like Altmeyer succeeded earlier - when they were given time to pick apart soft coverage, hell even a HSJV QB could have picked us...

AK's bullet on 3rd down to put the game away

ah. seeing that again makes my blood boil. Zero situational awareness. Good QBs have “it”. Tanner Morgan had “it” much of the time. No other Gopher QB in my lifetime has consistently had “it, and it’s a ridiculous shame. AK does not have “it”. At least not so far in his career. He needs...

I’ll admit I was totally wrong

I think AK’s problems can be summed up in one play: 2nd and 7, wide open field ahead to get a first down (or very close to it), where one first down all but seals the game, and instead of surging to the open forward area, he stops and tries to juke the def. back coming at him from the side and...

I’ll admit I was totally wrong

Morgan’s fastball to TJ lost the Iowa (or was it the Wisconsin) game in 2019. Ironic, I suppose.

Post Game Press Conference Video: “It’s all on me” says PJ Fleck after a disappointing loss to Illinois

i will never stop being angry about that horseshit D call for as long as I live. Grade school idiocy…whoever made that call should own up to one of THEdumbest defensive play calls in the history of college football.
