I think that argument is ... absurd / magical thinking. This idea that "well if you just get $50 million" ... what is that? Why not just get $100 million, $200 million? If that's a thing you just do, why not do that? Why doesn't everyone do that? 🤷‍♀️

Interesting. I don't know what about an AD makes them magic fundraisers. I've seen some AD's touted as great fundraisers ... and they go somewhere else and don't... "Just get more money!" That seems like a job canon kinda situation. If it was that easy everyone would "just get more money".
