Friday night was not this team’s best showing, but all in all a win and a 3 on 3 loss is not a bad weekend on the road against the hottest team in the country. Like bonin mentioned losing the conference tiebreak because of 3v3 and shootouts is tolerable.

I actually have to agree, though this was worse than what Chesley did.

Chesley absolutely is a moron but if that’s a major penalty then god help us all.

Budget I believe was also a factor, but that doesn’t mean race was not a factor.

Wood's game is not pretty or graceful, but he is playing at a PPG pace and is a good puck possession guy. I wouldn't say he has exceeded expectations but I wouldn't say he's well short either.

You sound like someone who knows his limits and is responsible. It is too bad a lot of gamblers are different. It really is a nasty addiction for a lot of people, made worse by the fact that it is easier to "hide" than say an addiction to drugs or alcohol.

Most people would say the hook is that it gives you a rooting interest which adds some spice to the game. I don't really sports bet any more as I get older, but that was my main reason. Also many enjoy the high of winning a bet, similar to a big win at the blackjack table.

We’ll get a better feel for it after this weekend but my gut tells me PSU is the scariest on that list with how they are playing in the second half.

That's too bad. I fear that this age of mega conferences will only provide less incentive for these type of marquee non-conference games.

Yeah I agree, Moore has his limitations offensively for sure (though he's not that far below PPG in his career), but I definitely wouldn't accuse him of being checked out. He plays hard, he just lacks finishing ability and his hockey IQ is average at best. I don't think he's at all ready to go...
