The issue isn't whether we would take him. The issue is whether he would take us. When it comes to the good (or at least good enough) players, it's a sellers' market. That's particularly true with centers.

You're not even close to the reason of why people oppose him (or any other player who has played 5 years) returning for another year. Do you have one of those minds that is impervious to outside information and incapable of understanding others' viewpoints?

I don't share that view because professional sports associations manage to do just that regularly. Sometimes they don't manage to agree and strikes or lockouts result but, in between those, there are extensive periods of sufficient agreement with rules.

Did it read like a joke? Let me be clear: Neither Garcia, nor Patterson, nor Odukele, nor any other player in their situation should be granted another year of eligibility. They've already been given an extra year of eligibility. These extra years of eligibility have hurt high school seniors...

What about principles? I read people complaining constantly about the current system but then I see: "Oh, sure, we want Garcia to come back for a 6th year!" Sounds like situational principles: against changes in general but on board when those changes benefit us.

New people can enter after the 22nd. Players have up until 30 days after the last game played so that would include all of those players in the College Basketball Crown tournament and those in the NCAA and NIT tournaments whose seasons ended less than 30 days before tomorrow.
