CFN: Minnesota Football Preview 2025: Can PJ Fleck Take Gophers Higher? (It’s the 9th year of the Fleck era. Is there something more than this?)

At the risk of turning this into Grungehole, Foo Fighters are in a class of their own. Their self titled album had a heavy grunge influence naturally and by necessity, but every subsequent album changed tonally. Dave Grohl is one of if not the most talented rock musician of the post grunge era...

Apparently you can go home again - "Scott Frost reportedly receives 5-year, $22.1 million deal to return to UCF"

I wonder if his contract has some kind of alcohol treatment stipulation

If you play a Nickelback song backwards, you hear messages from the devil. Even worse, if you play it forwards you hear Nickelback😂

CFN: Minnesota Football Preview 2025: Can PJ Fleck Take Gophers Higher? (It’s the 9th year of the Fleck era. Is there something more than this?)

Agreed. The offensive and defensive playstyles are built to complement one another enough to basically guarantee six wins minimum sans an absolute disaster under center (see 2023 and 2017).

USA Today BT Coaching Rankings: Fleck 7th, Rhule 5th

Lmfao ok Paul Myerburg. The annual Nebraska crank polishing is in full swing. I'm fine with the rest.

Big Ten Football: Biggest post-spring concerns for every team (Minnesota — Who will emerge as the top wide receiver?)

Agreed 100%. A good qb can make average wrs look great. Great wrs can't really make a bad qb look good, especially if he isn't getting the ball to a spot on time (or at all) . I'll even venture as far as saying the quality of our pass pro is a huge question too. Without those guys, qb confidence...

#Gophers among their peers with #RollTide, #Buckeyes and right on Georgia’s heels.

Again, I think this is more of a testament to the culture of the program and the guy running the show more than anything. Even the BS bowl games where teams tend to fuck off if it isn't a major bowl are treated seriously within this program. Note all the mid tier teams such as ourselves playing...

Big Ten football 2025 win-loss record predictions for each team after spring practice

This and the team tends to trend towards general improvement as the season rolls on.

5 biggest questions Gophers football must answer this summer

I'm fine with similar running numbers this year if the passing game is both as open and as successful as it was last year. If we can keep getting DT touches in the passing game it's another dynamic that defenses have to gear up for.

    Walley picked on 3rd Round

I hear what you're saying, but it's kinda like Boye Mafe. Physical specimen who didn't put it together as much as we would've liked to have seen (was still a great disruptor) but got the right attention at the pro level and is now a pretty reliable situational guy for the seahawks

Official 2025 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Fleck has navigated NIL extremely well for a coach at a mid tier P4 school, might be the most successful coach with it at his tier?

3 Potential Landing Spots for Notre Dame Quarterback Steve Angeli (2. Minnesota or Purdue)

I hear what you're saying, I just don't think he's put up any kind of stats in three years as a college qb that screams we need to go after him. I don't think he considers MN as a destination either, he won't start here unless Lindsey gets hurt or is a disaster, and he won't start in the latter...

3 Potential Landing Spots for Notre Dame Quarterback Steve Angeli (2. Minnesota or Purdue)

I'm interested in hearing why you think this guy would make us instantly relevant. He's only played one full game in his career, against Oregon St. in 2023, otherwise he's been a garbage time guy. I anticipate he's going to demand a lot of money being a QB from a helmet school and I think it...

3 Potential Landing Spots for Notre Dame Quarterback Steve Angeli (2. Minnesota or Purdue)

Hopefully the line is legit and Lindsey has limited growing pains and a healthy season making all of this quality depth concern unnecessary!

Minnesota quarterback Zach Pyron has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer, @On3sports has learned.

He played a serviceable game as a backup pressed into a starting role against the Irish. It'd be nice to have him as our #2 but I think he's good enough to start for a program and he feels that way too. Might land at a decent spot at the G5 level
