Dep't of Education says Revenue-sharing should be subject to Title IX

As SON implied, the timing of this is odd and appears to be a political move to gum up the works for the new administration as the old administration exits. I wouldn't count on any new rules until the new administration has a chance to give some guidance. The memo language from the OP suggests...

Danny Collins to DC per RB

Monroe is already the Co-Defensive Coordinator, so maybe the "play caller" language specifies that Collins will also be in the gameday play calling role? This is probably what Heatherman's role was. Just guessing.

In poking around Heatherman to Miami story: PJ Fleck's winning percentage at Minnesota with and without COVID: .598/.611 Miami's winning percentage since leaving the JV Big East in 2004 with/without COVID: .598/.592 Cristobol's winning percentage at Miami: .579 Miami is one of those teams...

Minnesota’s Corey Hetherman new defensive coordinator at Miami

Franklin seems to cycle out coordinators faster than most. Allen seems to be the type that would mesh well with Dabo.

Minnesota’s Corey Hetherman new defensive coordinator at Miami

On a side note, when Miami sucks next year without a Heisman candidate at QB, will Cristobal's job be on the line? The Hurricanes turn coaches like a merri-go-round.

Minnesota’s Corey Hetherman new defensive coordinator at Miami

Wow. All that for a guy that was DC for one year on a team that historically has had a strong defense and a possession offense that makes it easier on the defense. Cristobal must be desperate to show the boosters that he's working on his weakness, the defense.

No state income tax in Florida way more than compensates for that.

Minnesota’s Corey Hetherman new defensive coordinator at Miami

Whatever. There are hot up and coming assistant coaches all over the place including probably on the Gopher staff already. For example, the NIU defensive coordinator has been very successful and is from Sioux Falls. There are guys like that all over the place. On a different note, who's to...

This is true. This whole notion of hating transfers that start over 4-year rostered kids is leftover youth travel ball parent stuff.

    LB Jeff Roberson commits

To be fair, the whole Cowboy defense rated the bottom of the conference per PFF which may have been a factor. A huge switch to a few years before when Knowles had them as a top defense in the country before going to Ohio State.

Charlotte's Mayo bowl game suffered the smallest turnout in its 23-year history on Jan. 3.

The whole trend of attendance is way down from the early years. There were more ranked matchups early on. I'm guessing the Mayo had a higher bowl priority with the Big East and ACC back then? The last non-COVID game to host a team located as far away as Minnesota was A&M vs Wake Forest in 2017...

2019 - Gophers went 3-0 vs G5 and 3-0 vs Power 5, got ranked, won two more, reached #8 before losing at Iowa. Finished at #10. 2020 - Gophers were ranked #21 in the preseason but immediately lost big to Michigan and had a bad year. Bye bye ranking. 2021 - Gophers got ranked #20 after going 6-2...

Five Guys On A Shortlist: If the U Decides Change Is Needed, Aim High & Don't Be Cheap With That Big Ten Cash

Is there actually a coach alive that has the amount of juju required to break the Ganglehoff/Pioneer Press curse that's been looming over the program since 2000? I'm skeptical.

Gophers currently 360th out of 364 in D1 team FT

I think most of us that have played basketball at any level could walk out to our frozen driveways and drop at least 5 of 10 free throws right now. Don't most high school teams shoot well above 60%?

Coming off a 10-win season last year, the Irish already had a road win vs #20 A&M, dropped all the way from #5 to #18 after losing to NIU, then beat Purdue by 59 points and followed that up with a lot more beat downs. I don't think that's comparable in any way to what the Gopher have done at any...

Nope. Take a look at the schedules since 2021 and tell me where the Gophers should have been ranked where they weren't. I think they got ranked in 2021 before the Illinois game then lost. In 2022, I believe they got ranked after smashing MSU then lost to Purdue. In 2024, they would have been...
