What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

Maybe follow Reusse's lead after spewing this nonsense.

    2. I might. I'm not here or there though.

The best college basketball Cinderella story you won’t hear about in March (St Thomas Tommies)

Summit is solidly mud-major according net rankings etc. Sure, a one bid, one and done like all conferences from 10 to 30 whatever.

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

I'm not a Reusse fan. I used to be but let's faceit, his writing sucks and has for a decade or maybe more. And he's left to write rambling, less than lucid columns about DIII sports and town team baseball. That is, when he's not trolling reactionaries with outlandish takes or digs at their...

UST making it interesting. Omaha is something of a Cinderella too. Picked by most to finish last in the Summit. Will be first trip to the tourney.

    Drake wins. Next UMN Coach?

If you are a wuality candidate looking at this job, how much guaranteed money does it take (per year/years/combined) given the perceptions about this job? How much more to work here vs. IA or IN?

Refs also not allowing UST to play their typical antagonistic physical style.

That's a more likely result short term. MVC has shown a preference for private schools in big markets for expansion regardless of actual following. It wouldn't be entirely shocking to see it target UST and Denver and maybe even Omaha and Kansas City (although the latter 2 are public schools)...

39-33 Omaha at the half. Madelia MN native Jansen Glover is a rotational player for Omaha. 0-3 tonight but averaging 8 and change for Omaha this season.

UST team plays in a HS gym and the arena is absolutely necessary but it will at best put UST on par with the best arenas in the Summit. USD has a brand new arena (although it's fans suck and it has no atmosphere). SDSU just finished a gut and rebuild of it's venerable Frost Arena and has the...

The best college basketball Cinderella story you won’t hear about in March (St Thomas Tommies)

No one should be surprised at St Thomas' success so early in its transition. It's not unprecedented. Schools that have put the resources into their athletics have fared well in the Summit early on. NDSU on the men's side and SDSU on the women's side are good examples. Not to take...

They are lucky to be in this predicament- the NCAA waived the requirement that they first transition to DII.

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

I didn't read the Tweet as remotely racist but quickly understood the angle that the trolls took with it in his comments. The trolls of course didn't think it was racist either but 1. Took advantage of the snowflake/over-sensitivity of the current age to harangue the old man; and 2. Turned the...

    Conference Realignment Updates

Nobody turns on the TV for Stanford. If there was value for either Stanford or Cal Berkley, they would be B1G now. Instead they had to beg into the ACC.

Perhaps some kind of intangible benefit but certainly not financial - that's why they are flying their softball team to the opposite coast for athletic contests.

The Ivies are going to compete in playoffs now. It will be interesting to see how competitive they are. I assume they will be slightly better than the other non-scholarship league, the Pioneer. From time to time, there have been schools from the SWAC and MEAC that have received at-large...

    Conference Realignment Updates

Clemson, FSU and ACC settle. The agreement seemingly opens up a possibility for ACC schools to join the B1G with the B1G's next media rights deal. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/44108761/acc-florida-state-clemson-reach-revenue-distribution-settlement
