It's the start of rut season and that bull is in full mode already it appears. Doesn't look like the people did anything wrong, other than maybe noticing the erratic behavior. They were at a good distance away. That white truck driving by appears to have triggered something.

I was visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park two years ago and was amazed at how close people walked up to the buffalo, and I also used to see this up north with bears in garbage dumps. Darwin's theory put to the test. For the record, I'm fine with dumb people getting taken out by wild animals when we're walking on their turf. A wild buffalo and/or bear isn't a lap dog wanting you to come pet its back. Give 'em space.

I'm all about forcing people to take IQ tests before entering national parks. Too many people think they're zoos.

This was some time ago, but I was in Florida hanging out at a lake when some people thought it was so cute that their tiny little poodle of a dog was yapping at the alligator swimming towards it. The alligator showed that for at least a short sprint, it can outrun a tiny poodle.

One of my most memorable passages from Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods was the story from a newspaper about people slathering honey on their kid’s hand to get a cute photo of a bear licking the honey off-it didn’t go to script of course.
