No kidding went and checked out article I really did expect more successful nfl QBs on that list than there were. Holy mackerel that’s a sad bunch of QBs. I think Drake Lindsey will be a fine qb with or without that camp.

I would say the 2027 QB draft might be historic...there are 11 QB's from the two Manning camp lists listed as standing out. Dante Moore and Sorsby evidently were not there...that'd be 13 QB's.

There are a group of about another 11 you hear mentioned that includes Drake...LaNorris Sellers, Josh Hoover etc. totaling 24/25 guys.

Drake needs to be several times better in 2026 to rise up the list of these guys to get into the first three rounds.

Maybe about 10 to15 QB's are the median number drafted or notable each year.

Drake Lindsey has an opportunity in 2026 to move up the rankings and prove he can lead the Gophers to 8 or 9 wins in 2026. If he does so, he will position himself as a first round pick in the 2028 draft. If the experts thought Drake was ready for the draft in 2027, there is no way the Gophers would be picked to win 5 - 7 games this coming season. I really believe Drake will continue to take steps towards a first round pick the next two seasons and no better time to go in the first round than in 2028 when the draft is in Minnesota. Go Gophers!

You are putting too much stock in the "experts" predictions IMO.

Hasn’t he been hyped as the 3rd-5th best qb prospect in the upcoming draft? I suspect he is/will be getting the Daniel Jones treatment.

The is also a cognitive dissonance from the national brain trust where the gophers will always be in this range for win totals (2019 had a preseason win total of 6.5); despite the clear evidence suggesting at worst a 10-2 season incoming.

I'm one of the biggest Drake fans here. Of course I believe he will develop into a first round pick. I don't think he necessarily will wait until '28 to declare just because "experts", who probably spend less time analyzing Gophers football than the average person spends dropping a deuce, think this team will finish with 5-7 wins.

If Drake can put up ~ 3300 yds; 30+ tds; 10 or less ints, he'll get plenty of attention this season regardless of the team's record. He has size, arm strength, good accuracy, and toughness in the pocket. Plenty of examples of similar players taken in the first round.

Gotcha! I love Drake. I would love to see him go in the first round in the 2027 draft. My prediction is the first round of the 2028 draft but I sure hope I am wrong because that would mean the Gophers are sniffing the playoffs in 2026. Go Gophers!
