Yes, the Gophers' stance on Wilson hasn't changed. She is their biggest and main target for 2027. She has a rough 7-8 top schools that she is consistent contact with, and likely after the AAU season will release an official top 5-6 list. Yes, I can confirm with almost 100% certainty Minnesota will be in her top 5.

In my personal opinion, here is where I would rate the last four teams:

Favorite: Tie between Iowa/Gophers (could truly go either way)
2nd in line: TCU (a lot of money)
least likely but not out of the running: Ohio State

I don't know if my heart can handle watching her at Iowa lol. Her and Amisha would be so fun to watch.

(Heard = Gossip). Nothing in my post remotely intimidated she was coming to the Gophers, as I was addressing the insinuations being leveled against a new player. There’s a reason why Edgar Allen Poe said, "Believe only half of what you see and none of what you hear.”

Additionally, she’s a teenager, and they have never in the annals of history changed their minds.

You’d think if the alleged player did something that bad that Coach P would kick her off the team. It would be good to know the exact details of this.

Yes, I agree with the first sentence.

A larger point is that I find it borderline ridiculous it was even brought up in the first place place, as hearing things second hand isn’t reliable, nor is speculating on them and in turn disparaging a member of the team.

I get it’s a “sports board”, but I have found far less negativity, gossiping and juvenile behavior here, than on the Men’s board, and it’s like an oasis, as I’m interested in the team, games and player development, not some iteration of the The Real Players of Gopher Women’s Hoops. Personally, I find that uninteresting.

This to me, isn’t the forum for such speculation.
 

Regardless of what did or did not happen - in terms of who was involved in the taunting - college isn't high school. Unless you go to a small private college, then it might be like high school. But agree, reason would say coach Dawn could rationalize that that sort of thing would never be tolerated at the U. But emotion might say instead, I want a fresh start somewhere else out of state.

Sadly Yes. It was a Nebraska Attack fan/parent of a younger player. he was an ass all game long saying awful things to the likes of Mya Wilson and Amisha Ramlall during the game. Then afterwards, he said that to the Ramlall family. He was not allowed back on Sunday during the games.

That’s disgusting. What an example that Dad is setting for his children. My heart hurts for these young talented players and the racism
they are subjected to play a game.

Some 20 years ago my daughter was doing a campus tour. As usual, she wasn't the only one, and three or four parent/daughter combos all had dinner together. At dinner one of the dads announced to the table that gays should be kicked out of high school if they came out, and the other students should at least completely ostracize them. My straight daughter had lots of community leadership experience, and had no qualms about going toe to toe with the guy. I was proud of her of course, but my heart ached for this guy's daughter. She was obviously mortified, and if she had a potion to allow her to slink out of the room unnoticed I'm sure she'd have used it.

I've certainly seen cases where the children of creeps become creeps themselves--i.e. they follow the parent's example, but I've seen just as many cases where the children reject the example and the creeps become estranged from their children.

I'm grateful that this creep was banned from the rest of the competition, but I wish he had been ejected after his first comment.
