he University of Minnesota football team will be represented by linebacker Maverick Baranowski, quarterback Drake Lindsey and defensive lineman Anthony Smith at the annual Big Ten Football Media Days next month in Chicago.

The three-day event takes place July 28-30 at the Hilton Chicago, and the Gophers – along with head coach P.J. Fleck and running back Darius Taylor – will meet with the media on July 29.

Big Ten Football Media Days is the unofficial start of the season and provides an opportunity for media members to meet with coaches and student-athletes prior to the start of the season.

Go Gophers!!

I loves in the 2024 Wisconsin game every time the olineman that was up against him would fall start, Smith would jump up in the air, spin and point at him, happened like four or five times that day. Even better Smith is 3-1 all time and 2-0 at Camp Randall in his gopher career

There's Drake's punishment - he has to attend Big 10 media days and talk to the press.

Yes - I should be a better reader...Seems like a weird headline
My guess is maybe each team has 3 players that represent them for the media portion or something like that. Don't pay attention to Big Ten media day all that much. I don't think DT is crazy about doing interviews as he has always come off as pretty quiet and reserved to me when I have seen him interviewed.

Agree with the others that have mentioned making Smith the face of the program. I felt this last year as well. Dude just lights up a room and is really good on camera. He just comes across as someone having a blast playing football.
