Bronko Nagurski. 1927 Big Ten Champion, 1929 First Team All Big Ten, 1929 All American, College Football Hall of Famer. Also won 3 NFL championships, 4 time All-Pro selection, Pro Football Hall of Famer and 3 x World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion.

While he was born in Canada, Bronko Nagurski just reeks of Minnesotan. Hard to imagine a more "one of us" type of guy

I believe he was born in Rainy River, Ontario, but grew up, just over the border in International Falls, MN. HENCE, International Falls High School's nickname The Broncos! Parents were Ukranian!
