Was out to dinner with family last night and my 20 year-old niece ordered a cocktail, got carded, presented her fake, zero issues.

My sister and brother in law had no problem with it and neither did I

How about M.A D. D. for starters? Imagine being a parent whose children are involved in a fatality. Not that all DUI deaths are underage kids.

Hey! I broke the rules when I was young like Drake. I was lucky. But there can be some very real consequences for peoples choices.

Underage drinking laws are in place. They can't be just easily dismissed. And they need to be enforced like other laws.

It depends. There needs to be some consequences for his stupidity, and genuflecting in the temple of PJ and saying his "Hail RTB's" is not enough. He needs to have some public punishment in order to conform with the PJ culture.

Of course he didn't kill someone, but it showed some entitlement and a total lack of understanding of his responsibilities as the starting QB of a B1G team. Sure, many of you just want to sweep it under the rugs and kiss his ass and say no big deal. But he risked the future success of the team because he wanted to go out and illegally party in public. Be smart and do not take those chances to risk the gravy train he is riding.

Then issue a ticket, arresting and throwing someone in jail for underage drinking is ridiculous.

So what more above and beyond these statements do you need to feel the matter is resolved.

Him being punished for all to see serves no purpose other than appeasing those uninvolved in the inner workings of the program who demand some kind of visible consequence to make them feel good or whole or like things are still like they were in 1950. Watch the news for five minutes and tell me anything that this dude has done is anywhere near as terrible as what our officials are doing and saying in public forums on a daily basis. The concept that this behavior was some kind of display of entitlement is totally tone deaf to the current state of our society generally. 30 years ago, sure. He's no different than anyone else in his generation, he just was dumb enough to get caught. That's what he deserves the most ridicule for.

And for you to think that some of us want this to be swept under the rug is insincere and ignorant. We trust that the issue will be handled without the need to parade Drake around in effigy because there's absolutely zero precedent that indicates this won't be dealt with appropriately by Fleck.

According to a quick Google search, 1st offense in Arkansas is usually a diversion program/community service.
