You just agreed that you didn't want Giannis. Now you do.
Not sure how you can say the $38M was quickly eaten up by extensions when it was already owed to Rudy. They had the money to pay Rudy and do the extensions. Rudy has definitely provided value but the extra $38M would have allowed them to keep KAT and keep those picks. Kessler next to KAT would have been statistically close to Rudy. Not quite the same but more than enough to make up the difference between Randle and KAT (and the picks). Before you rant on that statement without doing your homework, look it up.
The point on Dilly is you kept stubbornly insisting he was tall enough and strong enough to play in the league, when it was clear he was over matched. You even used a photo taken at an odd angle from about 100 feet away as "evidence."
You stubbornly insisted that Ant could be an effective pg for this team. Didn't work.
You are correct that I wish Taylor was still the owner. For one reason. I'd rather have a bad owner than no owner. It only takes $50M to break the TC lease. Your guys have no loyalty to this market and they have not said they will build their own building. If they don't get public funding for a new arena, they will move the team to whatever market hungry enough to write them a massive check. The franchise is in play.
Keep trying.
I haven't heard any trade rumors in regards to Murray. I wonder what it would take? More than Kyrie?Depends entirely on what you have to give up. All these guys are problematic.
As I said earlier, my preferred choice would be Murray.
Murray makes about $10M less than Irving next season and then they both have a PO the following year. NOP already have Zion and Queen at PF so no need for Randle. Fears showed promise as a Rookie so I would think they'd be open to moving Dejounte.I haven't heard any trade rumors in regards to Murray. I wonder what it would take? More than Kyrie?
Dane Moore was talking about Murray as a possible trade target on his pod. I don't remember who he thought the wolves would have to give up to get him.I haven't heard any trade rumors in regards to Murray. I wonder what it would take? More than Kyrie?
I hope you are not as wrong about Honest Alex and Lore and their commitment to this market as you were about Dilly’s size and ability to play in the NBA.
Keep trying.
It's a tough salary match for just Murray if Randle isn't included in any deal and we certainly wouldn't move Jaden or Naz for him. Maybe a larger trade?Dane Moore was talking about Murray as a possible trade target on his pod. I don't remember who he thought the wolves would have to give up to get him.
I would never lie to you, stormy. It was a general commentary on your post, your life, your judgement, with the necessary dollop of sarcasm thrown in.Couldn't even respond to my post.
Keep lying. That's all you do.
Maybe remember, we all have a Bradley Beal or two, lurking on our closetsI would never lie to you, stormy. It was a general commentary on your post, your life, your judgement, with the necessary dollop of sarcasm thrown in.
Speaking of your judgement, while you are busy genuflecting to Honest Alex and Marc for their winning ways you might want to take a quick glance at the history of how we got here. Granted Taylor, who saved the wolves for this market, has been a shitty owner for most of his thirty years. He does get credit (from normal people) for assembling the core of the current winning situation. His front office drafted KAT (first WCF). Taylor hired Rosas who drafted Ant when it was a less than clear cut decision between Ant, LaMelo and Wiseman (do your homework before you try to claim otherwise). Rosas also drafted Jaden very late in that same first round and signed Naz as a free agent. Rosas hired Finch, the most successful coach in wolves' history, by far.
Your guy, Honest Alex, known as much for cheating as his home runs during his baseball career, teamed with Lore to hire Connelly who has done a good but not great job as POBO. Connelly will very likely walk out of here in a year or two leaving the shelves empty of future assets. Currently the new owners are known for leading the league in ticket price increases for 26-27 and their new CEO, whose claim to fame was getting public financing for the Florida Panthers arena. That tells us where they are going.
Keep trying.
I was curious, so I looked it up. There are 29 former NBA players who are in the HOF who were named to the All Star Game three or fewer times. I'm not counting Brad out, NYC.Maybe remember, we all have a Bradley Beal or two, lurking on our closets![]()
All three are worthy of scornAs much as Holmgren is getting ragged on for his performance in game 7 (which doesn’t bother me in the least), Randle (3 points) and Rudy (0 points) had even fewer points in that elimination game against the Spurs. 46 minutes and 3 f**king points.

Rosas made some good picks but you conveniently left out his bad moves. Rosas was in a similar situation with Wiggins as Connelly was with KAT, and yet he had to trade a 1st round and Wiggins to get Dlo. Yikes. You complain about the Dillingham pick yet Rosas traded up prior to knowing if the player he wanted - Garland would be available, and then took Jarret Culver when Garland went the pick before. That's about as bad as Kahn taking Johnny Flynn after Rubio.
The Wolves are nowhere near as good the last 3 years without Rudy. Connelly dumped Dlo for Conley and NAW. You complain about the picks he gave up but then leave out that KAT was moved for Randle, DD, and a 1st round pick. Plus he quickly cut his losses with Dilly and landed a good guard in Ayo.
The 'honest' comments are so dumb especially when it relates to the steroid era in baseball where everyone was cheating. It has nothing to do with the fake boogeyman you keep bringing up that he could move the team when there are zero places for the team to move to.
Go back and read my post. I didn't say Rosas was perfect, good, great average or lousy. The only adjective I used was in reference to Taylor when I said he was a shitty owner for most of the thirty years he owned the team. What I did say was that Rosas, under Taylor, assembled the core of the recent and current team. In an earlier post I have referred to Connelly as a good but not great POBO for the wolves. I have also said that Rudy is a better player than Kessler, though (nuance alert!!) not enough to justify the lost picks and the salary differential. The $38M has confused you.Rosas made some good picks but you conveniently left out his bad moves. For clarity, Google does say Dilly is 6’3. Ain’t no Mugsy Bogues height, but tall enough for the league.Rosas made some good picks but you conveniently left out his bad moves. Here is why I like Irving over the others. I'm going with he's healthy by the way.Murray makes about $10M less than Irving next season and then they both have a PO the following year. NOP already have Zion and Queen at PF so no need for Randle. Fears showed promise as a Rookie so I would think they'd be open to moving Dejounte.
My personal preference of PGs to pursue by Connelly:
Irving
Jrue
White
Murray
If healthy, Kyrie would add the following to the Wolves:Here is why I like Irving over the others. I'm going with he's healthy by the way.
He is similar to De'Aaron Fox. Quick and the ability to break you down.
When fox was on the floor in this series, he continually got in the paint and got the defense scrambling. Did he score a ton or have a ton of assists, NO, but he broke the defense down and opened things up.
Irving can do the same. We can't get an easy shot in the playoffs as constructed. Irving can score, but also get the defense out of whack.
He was measured at 6'1" and 164.2lbs at draft camp and most sites have him at 6'2" with shoes on. Kentucky had him at 6'3" for inflation purposes. For clarity, Google does say Dilly is 6’3. Ain’t no Mugsy Bogues height, but tall enough for the league.![]()
I'm in the camp that you roll the dice the next couple of years. If it doesn't work and you can see it just isn't going anywhere, I'm fine trading Ant.Here's an alternative approach to 26-27.
What if the trade targets that are being publicly named just don't work out. Either the wolves would have to give up too much or the player(s) are too old, too fucked up in the head (clinical diagnosis), too injured or don't want to come. Whatever the reason. What if the wolves don't run it back exactly, but make some internal changes.
Naz starts and Randle comes off the bench. (Yes, Randle's not going to like it but that's what coaches are for.) Ayo is the pg because he's the best we've got and Ant goes back to off ball. The backup pg is the 28th pick or the taxpayer MLE. (Obviously, Ant will still have the ball a lot.) Berenger gets a consistent 15 minutes a night. If he can't do it, then Rocco. The bench is Julius, TJ, Berenger, backup pg.
It's not ideal, it's not flashy and it's not NBA finals, but it might be the best they can do under their current circumstances.
ExactlyI'm in the camp that you roll the dice the next couple of years. If it doesn't work and you can see it just isn't going anywhere, I'm fine trading Ant.
You try first!
So when everyone lies, it's cool? Got it. We don't need to spend much time on that topic. You support a child rapist.
So where could the the wolves go when the state says Honest Alex and Lore have a net basis of $1B in the wolves (after the expansion cash) and the asset is worth $5-6B or more, so they can build their own arena? It's axiomatic that professional franchise owners will always go to the money. Market size, tradition and stadium locations are entirely secondary. Who would have ever thought the LA Rams would move to St. Louis. OKC was one third the size of Seattle. The new Portland owner is rumored to be considering a move to Raleigh. The Kansas City Chiefs are moving to Kansas. The Bears are looking at northern Indiana. The NBA is evidently not afraid of small markets, especially if they can be the big fish or one of the big fishies in a small pond. SLC, OKC, San Antonio, New Orleans are all small markets. Basically, if the state of MN doesn't build these guys a new state of the art arena they will go somewhere where they can get that new building. The market size is less relevant than a free building with control of the income streams. I can list several cities that are the same size or larger than current NBA markets and you'll spout the usual refrain that there's nowhere to go. It just takes one city that really wants an NBA team and there's nothing holding the franchise here.
As a side note, nothing to do with you, many years ago I got a copy of the Vikings lease at the Metrodome after McCombs bought the team and he was starting to make some veiled threats about leaving. (It was a public document.) At that point the lease still had several years left. The reason McCombs threats were empty was there was a clause in the document, drafted in the early 80's, that every NFL owner personally guaranteed the lease. Every owner would have been personally liable for performance if McCombs had tried to scoot. Whatever lawyer snuck that in there was brilliant. I'm sure it's never been allowed into a professional sports lease since.
I did a quick search and there are approximately 200 posts by you in support of the child rapist, who is a serial liar. Or you were arguing with people who dared to criticize the child rapist who, as I said, is a serial liar. Supporting Honest Alex comes naturally to you.Another blatant lie. You're so bad at arguing you try to bring in other unrelated arguments.
The Chiefs are still in the KC metro just like NW Indiana is still in the Chicago metro. I'm pretty sure the Wolves won't move to western WI. You say you can provide a list of where they can go but that list never makes any sense. If Seattle and Vegas were on the table, I would be more fearful, but they're not.
Interesting note on the McCombs Vikings, thanks for that.
The height argument is bogus. The other arguments are fine by themselves. He was measured at 6'1" and 164.2lbs at draft camp and most sites have him at 6'2" with shoes on. Kentucky had him at 6'3" for inflation purposes.
The bottom line is he's too small to play in the current NBA, especially if he can't compensate with excellent shooting, play making or defensive skills. Alvarado probably isn't 6', but he compensates by being an absolute pest on defense and he's got a solid build.

Commute time on game days for fans from the western or northern Chicago suburbs to Hammond, IN will be up to two hours each way. I'm not as familiar with the KC area. The overriding point is the owners don't care about the fans. They will always go wherever there is the most money. The list of places the wolves could move doesn't have to make sense to you. (You won't acknowledge agreeing with me anyway out of spite.) It only has to make sense to ARod/Lore.
But do you think Dallas will move him .. to a Western rival, as opposed to elsewhere, if they can control that?I actually think Kyrie will cost the least amount. Main reason I would like it. A move is happening, so I'm hoping for one that doesn't hurt much.
Another one (not that you needed more examples to make your point) is Sacramento.Go back and read my post. I didn't say Rosas was perfect, good, great average or lousy. Rosas made mistakes, as has Connelly. The all time biggest mistake by the wolves front office was, of course, whiffing on Curry. For you to compare Culver, which was really bad, to the second chance at Curry means you are petulantly flailing.
So when everyone lies, it's cool? Got it. We don't need to spend much time on that topic. You support a child rapist.
