LMAO it's not hard to understand. The hard part for you to understand is that most here don't give a flying f about USTs history. This is a Gopher board.
Just like I don't expect anyone not a Gopher fan to understand the history of Williams or Mariucci arena.
That might be hard to understand for some....you
So playing a patsy was more important than losing to the Gophers. It's fine. I don't blame UST for turning down a game against the Gophers in order to get a win in their first game in the new arena.
Love it ! Stupid response.. it was a business decision… Coyle will do the same when the Gophers get that $75 million donation or $75,000 my bad…
Ben admittedly was afraid and didn’t want to play the patsies… that’s a fact..
Niko pretended he wanted to play the patsies and made two lame offers that he knew UST wouldn’t do.. and he got called out for it.. fact
Exhibition game and an offer to play the opener.. come on Niko.. Why didn’t Niko say we will play game 2 in the new arena or come to he bar? Which is what I prefer..
Why would UST want to open their arena against a Big Ten team when they could play one of the lousiest Patriot teams? Oh right. Wanted a big single digit win....lol. Big time excitement.
$75 million reasons.. game was in place a year before Niko became coach… ain’t Chinese arithmetic..
Donation was made on the stipulation that Army would be UST's first opponent? Nobody buys that. Opening up the arena with the Gophers would have been an event. Instead it was a game.....against Army. And nobody noticed or cared. lol.
No..
I said there was a stipulation? Hmm..
A nice gesture by the receiver of the donation… great atmosphere actually…. Truth hurts I guess.. Gophers have been shit low level power 4 team which is fact.. nobody has noticed the Gophers for years.. lol fact..
Yet here you are......crying about how nobody cares about UST on a Gophers board.

Game on.. Tommies and Gophers that's all I know.. LFG!
I am a Gophet fan.. and chatter about a potential opponent..
The business decision to play Army in the arena opener is what appears to be hard for some people to understand.. like.. you
You're not a Gopher fan and just proved it.
You just called the Gophers a shit, low level program.
Take your garbage to your UST board we gave you or better yet just leave. Stop pushing your stupid agenda here. @GopherHole Staff should just get rid of you since you proved your not a fan.
I’m a fan and tend to agree they’ve been a low level program. Guess it depends on your definition of that thoughYou're not a Gopher fan and just proved it.

I didn’t no that!Army had been scheduled to open the new arena for 15 months… the Gophers new that.. that’s why the offer to open the new arena was comical the Gophers new that.. balldefinitely in The Gophers court..
Interesting point about the quads. If memory serves me right, Niko offered to play an exhibition at the new arena, the official opener still would have been the Army game, I don't care enough to look up if UST exhibitions were both road games or if they did one home or if they went the secret scrimmage route, maybe someone can loop me in there.
As far as playing an official game with UST, quads have different standards based on home, away and neutral site. Most years it's going to be a low quad 3/Quad 4 home game. A road game or a neutral site will usually be a quad 3, could sneak up into a quad 2 opportunity. The other issue with playing the game at Penny would be capacity in my opinion, I doubt a game at the Grand or Target center would be considered a true road game.
If I were the gophs I'd schedule a game wherever, make a point to run it up and put this whole we are afraid of you bullshit to rest. Comparatively speaking I don't think the Tommies are as good as they were the last couple years so they'll need time to come together and this gopher team will have as much returning experience as they've had since the Pitino era, maybe Ben's NIT brought back more? Should really be no excuse!
They need to be validated because of their rampant insecuritySuch a weird obsession.
You no comment on something which you’ve commented on before, Taj. No one believes that. The game will happen confirmed they are waiting for the Gophers to ink the deal… which happily for me I don’t have to comment about this anymore…
I really have not interest in this ...none
Go Gophers!!
This is where I'm at.Fuck it, let's play them.
