wouldn't say your years in the league define young or old. Not like a mid 20s euro guy would be considered young either or a 24 year old who played college ball for 6 years because of COVID

i just wouldn't count TJ as a young guy at this point and we are getting smoked by SAS in terms of their young talent compared with ours, which is connelly for how he's put this roster together

I meant young in terms of experience in the league. Chronological age is secondary. Ant is only 24 but he’s no longer a “young guy.” He’s been around six years

Actual NBA experience can't be replicated anywhere else. Chronological age certainly isn't meaningless but it's secondary to NBA experience by a wide margin IMO.

First time maybe ever that I've agreed with everything you said here. You're right on Johnson, that's never happening.

I think Murray is realistic, but who are we giving up for him and what other team will be involved? They do not need Randle or Gobert.

10000000000000000% in. surround ant with hungry guys who will defend and can space the floor and that is your ticket. money strapped teams with 3 guys on 40million/yr contracts are a struggle to try to keep running it back because you have no depth

I actually think Kyrie will cost the least amount. Main reason I would like it. A move is happening, so I'm hoping for one that doesn't hurt much.
 



On his pod yesterday Dane Moore was presenting idle speculation (the best kind) about a Randle/Berenger and pick #28 for Zion. Zion is another guy who is very fucked up in the head (clinical diagnosis) but he can do some things that nobody else in the league can do, including beat on Wemby.

Zikarsky doesn't have Berenger's athletic ability but he is way ahead of him on skills at this point. I think he's ready to back up Rudy for 10-15 minutes a night. If Zion came here, at the very least he could compete with Ant in the baby making department.

Zion showed up in great shape last year. Who knows about this year...

With what the wolves have to trade or are, presumably, willing to trade, there are no clean deals. With the possible exception of Murray, we are likely going to have to take on somebody else's problem or problematic situation in the hopes that the player will be a better fit here.

I'm not necessarily advocating for Zion. If he's in shape and feels like playing (two big "ifs") he's unstoppable in the paint and Wemby has a hard time with him. His negatives are numerous and obvious. The negatives of all the other names we are hearing about are numerous and obvious.

For what we are apparently willing to shop, the returns ain't great. The Rudy trade and Dilly draft/trade haunt.

And you're quickly back to your delusionally stupid posts again. Zion has only played close to a full season once.

The Wolves don't have near the success without the Rudy trade. Dillingham was a swing in a terrible draft and they still turned him into at least a half season of Dosunmu, if not more. Ayo would be the 2nd best player in that draft.

Neither of these are haunting and have led to success.

Zion plays zero defense and is an average rebounder. We already have that in Randle. I wouldn't add Berenger, or Shannon, to the deal.

Of the names we are reading about, Ja has averaged 26 games played in the last three seasons. Kyrie averaged 42 games/year in the three years prior to 25-26, when he didn't play at all. Giannis is the heavy hitter with an average of 59 games/season over the last three years. Zion has averaged 54 games over three seasons. None of them are bulwarks.

Nobody has any idea what the wolves would have done with the extra $38M of salary every year and the five draft picks. Most of all you. You are just mindlessly spouting off. Ayo played 24 of 82 regular season games for the wolves or 33 of 96 games including the post season. Neither is close to half a season. If he signs a new contract that also allows them to do other things, it was probably a worthwhile trade. Your claim that Ayo would have been the second best player in that draft has nothing to do with anything. Statistically, he wouldn't be in the top 10 of what you have called a "weak draft."

If we are to believe what's all over social media, getting off of Randle and/or Rudy's contract means we are going to have to take on somebody else's problem. In the case of Williamson, I was pointing out what he does well, particularly as a potential fit for the wolves in the western conference. He also obviously brings a lot of garbage.

If you can get Giannis for 45 games for Naz plus picks, you do that in an absolute heard beat.

This was Giannis' first season under 60 games and he was shut down this year by Milwaukee. He isn't oft-injured, but lets just assume your 45 days is accurate.

He averaged 28 - 10 - 5 on 62% shooting.

He was famously shut down this year by Milwaukee.

Prior to last year, he never had a season under 60 games.
The three previous seasons (before last year), he averaged 67 games per season.

Last year was an outlier, it was famously an outlier.

That's right, you only believe everything you read. I don't want any of those players either other than I could get behind Giannis if the price is right.

The 38M was quickly eaten up by the Ant, Jaden, and eventually Naz extensions. Also would have been long gone if they would have kept KAT. They couldn't keep all of them not matter what, and an Ant/Jaden/KAT team wasn't winning anything. No matter how you slice it the core would have been far weaker than it was the last 2 years. I don't know what you're talking about with Ayo. Having him is a better option than anyone else in that draft other than Castle.

Rudy has definitely provided value but the extra $38M would have allowed them to keep KAT and keep those picks. Kessler next to KAT would have been statistically close to Rudy. Not quite the same but more than enough to make up the difference between Randle and KAT (and the picks). Before you rant on that statement without doing your homework, look it up.

He was shut down by Milwaukee with 14 games to go. That would have put his total games played at 50 as a best case. Still heading in the wrong direction at age 32.

Milwaukee obviously shut him down to tank. They may have also shut him down because he had already suffered three significant injuries in one season. Another injury, especially given Giannis's physical style of play, was a risk they might not have wanted to take on in terms of his trade value.
