Who is your "I wish we played them every year," opponent for the Gophers?

Nebraska. Aren't we their most played team in the conference? And the Chair is their best trophy. Seemed like a natural rivalry for the conference to keep going.

Both Minnesota and Michigan have long-since walked away from the Little-Brown-Jug game as an annual rivalry. In the new BIG 18, Minnesota requested to play Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska every year. Wisconsin and Iowa agreed, but not Nebraska, leaving Minnesota with 2 annual rivals.

This is the first time I’ve heard that Minnesota wanted 3 rivalries for the current B1G schedule. However, I did hear that Iowa was talked into adding Nebraska as their 3rd rivalry because no one else asked for Nebraska, which has only Iowa as a protected rivalry game.

Protected Rivalry Games:
Iowa: Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin
Minnesota: Iowa, Wisconsin
Nebraska: Iowa
Wisconsin: Iowa, Minnesota

The B1G made up a rivalry game between PSU and UMN. Were there any other rivalry games made up after that expansion?

That wasn't the question posed

Nebraska knew better to avoid the Minnesota powerhouse! Especially if the SEC is boycotted by the NAACP and our glory days are realized again…
