2026 Second Round Playoff Thread: Minnesota vs San Antonio

I dunno. I'm probably wrong on this but I think there will be less of a market than people think for soon to be 32 year old, injury plagued Giannis, who was a pain in the ass behind the scenes if Myles Turner was telling the truth. Certainly way more than Julius but not as much as I would have guessed a year ago. I thinking one frontline starter, one rotation guy and a prettily heavily protected first a couple of years out.

We'll see....
I think the market will actually be pretty rabid for Giannis, although as you stated, his injuries and attitude have probably depressed his value some.

If OKC or NYK fail to win the Title, I'd put them at the top of the contenders for his services although the Knicks package would have to evolve around current players since they have less Draft capital than even we do.

I think DET would be a great spot for him but they are desperate for outside shooting and that's one thing that Giannis doesn't bring to the table.

As long as we are playing POBO's. anybody want to hazard a guess what we would get for either Julius or Rudy? I really have no idea.

ATL made a nice jump this year and will most certainly re-sign McCollum after he had a terrific year for them. They desperately need a true C and defensive presence so I offer this:

ATL in: Gobert & #28
MIN in: Okongwu & NAW

Hawks
C Gobert
F Kuminga
F Johnson
G Daniels
G McCollum

Wolves
C Okongwu
F Reid
F McDaniels
G Edwards
G NAW

Like most reasonable trade scenarios, we can improve our depth but a move like this does nothing to gain on OKC/SAS.

I honestly don't expect any return for Randle that would help make this roster more formidable. His current trade value is very minimal for a talented guy such as himself.

On 1/28/25 you said:

"Here's Dillingham next to a 6'4" 225 lb Ant with Conley behind him last night. Yeah I'd say he's at least 6'3"175."

He's listed at 6'2" 175. What's your point?

This whole argument started because you said he's too small to contribute in the NBA. That's completely false. His lack of production has zero to do with is size.
