Four Commits from Moorhead with the new commitment of CB Zac Walker

They are not a small school, and that area has been churning out athletic talent at an impressive rate lately. See their back to back hockey titles.
Yeah, they are 6A in football, finished 2nd last year and assume are the favorites to win it this year. Definitely not a small school but still impressive for a MN school to have 4 guys going power 4 let alone all 4 heading to the same place.

Has to be exciting for the 4 of them to know they will be playing together at the next level as well. Hopefully they all have great college careers.

Do you really think that a small school football team has 4 B1G players on the same team. I don’t.
According to MSHSL Numbers (Free/Reduced Lunch Factored In)

Moorhead is the 23rd biggest school in Minnesota.

Some notable schools that Moorhead is bigger than: Lakeville North, Mounds View, Hopkins, and Lakeville South.

Schools like Osseo and Woodbury are only 100 students bigger than Moorhead.

It’s impressive but there have been schools with multiple power 4 guys not make the state tourney.
4 isn’t unheard of.

But I don’t necessarily think all 4 will end up contributors

They’re not a small school… ~2000 students.

The Fargo-Moorhead Area has become a hotbed for recruiting. 7 guys with P4 offers this year alone.

And if you pay attention to MN HS football, it’s been known that this year’s Moorhead team would be special

Mathematically I'm sure that this is correct. But I don't think that had we only offered 3 and instead offered someone else from another school with the 4th scholarship increases our odds of these players becoming contributors.

Fleck continues to crush the model I like. Get the best local and HS kids you can get. Continue to develop them. Do well in the portal to fill gaps.

Maybe the Moorhead HC is ready to move to the metro and coach program down here.
Moorhead’s head coach is Kevin Feeney (Jett Feeney’s dad). He’s been the HC there since 2010 and has been coaching in the Fargo-Moorhead area since the 90s so I think it’s unlikely he’d move down towards the cities.

Kevin was on HotMic with Dom Izzo last week (5/7) talking about Jett’s recruitment plus a bit of David Mack and Taye Reich, before Zak committed. Can find on Spotify or YouTube if anyone is interested in hearing about it

Not unhead of but I bet it is pretty rare for a MN high school to have 4 power 4 recruits on it.

And when the team with that talent on it was the runner up the year before it would certainly seem like they would be a strong bet to at least be in the mix for the title again this season.

Assuming of course they have any ability along the offensive line that can make it possible for their skill guys to operate.

Agree

Would’ve been a bigger issue 10 years ago.
The state champs had a center that must have weighed 170 pounds

Why does the MSHSL care about what kids are paying for lunch when determining the enrollment of a high school?

Not all recruits become contributors. Walk On's have played an important part as well.

More ladies are working the games as the guys aren't. We all need to be thankful that they are stepping up.
Agreed, and that is one thing that Jack Jones absolutely despises
