It's sort of depressing that you could find a negative in getting a commitment from a 4* LB with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Purdue, Tennessee, West Virginia, wisconsin, Notre Dame

I answered the question about why Iowa didn't sign him.

The question was asked.

Let me state it again, it's depressing but Iowa like 3 other guys better. You see, I hate Iowa. It's depressing they think they found 3 guys better.

Take care! I'm sorry I answered a question. It never dawned on me to throw some positivity in there when saying why Iowa didn't offer.

I assume this is tongue in cheek stuff. But I am excited to see how the newbies perform.

I hope their senior highlight tape is when they are playing for the Gophers versus some other program. Sadly 50%-60%, give or take, of the incoming class will depart the program. Most to lesser programs. Its the Bixbys, Irvings, Perich, Daniels types that hurt. But that is the nature of CFB and the effect of NIL.
 


His size and speed/quickness really pop in his hudl videos.

Not really tongue in cheek, maybe I’m being a bit naive though.

There has certainly been an increase in recruiting level the last few years and they’re getting the types of guys that have the size and athleticism to start early in their career. I don’t really concern myself with the potential of them decommitting or transferring 3+ years from now.
 


I love that the identity of being a developmental program is paying off. I have no doubt part of the "sell" is you will get paid well here. However, what we really do is develop you so your next paycheck will be much greater elsewhere (hopefully NFL).

The fact Iowa didn't offer probably because they knew the kid planned on going out of state. I can't imagine evaluators from across the country are wrong. It could be because of fit, but something tells me the personality fit didn't work and they knew he was gone.

No offer from Iowa which is surprising?

He was Iowa's first choice, and Iowa is pissed they didn't get him.

Now we can all move on.
 

Tate’s older brother plays football at St. Thomas. I’m sure it’s convenient for the parents to have both kids at college/playing football within 20 minutes of each other.

Also, fun fact: both Pierce Walsh and Matt Kingsbury also have brothers who play football at St. Thomas

I’m with you on not worrying about shit that is 3-4 years away. I hope all guys turn into all Americans for us. It’s unlikely. But it could happen.
