Don’t kids pass the bottle, drink beer at the:

Apartment
Parent’s house
Campground
Woods

anymore. Clearly the fake ID industry still has some issues (let’s see it?). Not nothing but a small error in judgment and a small chink in the perceived character armor but who among us is perfect.

It is a mistake.

Seems like a pretty small mistake.

But this is the internet so I’m sure the end times are nigh and so on…. If folks are honestly up in arms about this I’m not sure how they make it through life….

They definitely do. I would also add the Student Section at The Bank. Walk down that section right after the game. Various empty pint bottles with a few 750ml bottles here and there...

It's not a nothingburger, it led to an arrest. I voted for 2.
Agree......It was a mistake on Drake's part and fair or not he is going to be held to a higher standard than most college students.

In the grand scheme of things it is a very minor offense (at least based on the info we have so far) and it happened a long way from the start of the season. There will be consequences for his actions but those consequences don't need to be extreme the way a small few are acting like they should be.

2nd option was an easy choice in this poll.

Edit: The key for Drake is making sure this is the only legal drama associated with his college career.

Am I quoting PJ accurately? "We don't treat everybody the same but we do treat them fairly."
Internet is failing me at the moment...
That being the case...Drake put PJ in a tough spot...He's a team leader, the QB, the face of the team....the rest of the team is waiting in anticipation to see what PJ does. If he does little to nothing the culture is hollow and loses credibility.
Like somebody said: PJ has a leadership council....use em...find out what they think is appropriate.
Factor that in making a decision.
It's team thing...nobody has to know how it was handled but it can't be shrugged off.

The cat is out of the bag. Assuming all the facts are in, Fleck needs to act ASAP. I agree that Drake put PJ in a tough spot. And the team. People are waiting.

If its internal versus a suspension. whatever, Fleck needs to make a timely decision. And its needs to be in the best interest of the team. PJ's culture has been put to the test. The guy on the 5th spot on the depth chart needs to know that he is being treated fairly compared to Drake. If not, Fleck could lose the team.

That's why I maintain that Fleck will be forced to at least a half game suspension, if not a full game.

Which people exactly?
The team, recruits, parents, administration, the people paying NIL....and of course fans are curious but have no real right to know on the one hand but everybody that is invested in Gopher football and trusting PJ to lead is waiting.
I doubt many in administration think it's a nothing burger...whoever is paying Drake is pretty disappointed in him. There has to be some consequences that satisfy those on the tar and feather him side of the fence. My guess is that is the side PJ is on and has to be talked down to lesser consequences.

I'm sure it's already been dealt with/decided how they'll handle it and I doubt we'll ever know what was done (unless it's a suspension).

They said it would be handled internally.

“We are aware of the situation and will address it internally,” a Minnesota spokesperson told ESPN.

His family seems like they know how this all works (do the right things, don't put yourself in these situations, etc) and they were probably harder on him than anyone else.

Yep.....but of course there will be those that make the assumption that nothing is being done if it is not spelled out for them in complete detail.

This whole situation and the reaction to it really does underscore how few issues like this there have been in Fleck's time here.

For starters people like you and me otherwise we wouldn't be on this thread. And others as 60 stated.

Using a fake ID is unlawful. Many here accept that as common practice and is OK to ignore the law for self serving reasons as long as you don't go "to far." You know DUI, resisting arrest, etc. That is a problem in our society. Call me old fashioned but I try to stick to my values.

IMO, Fleck needs to put closure to it even if he says its being handled internally.

I can assure you I'm NOT waiting to hear about what happens to Drake. I almost literally couldn't care less. I'm here to discuss it, but the outcome could be revealed today or two months from now and I can assure you it will have no impact on me. If you are truly are waiting to hear the consequences, I would advise you not to.

Have you ever exceeded the speed limit? Even by a little bit?

That is unlawful.

These stories were posted one day ago. I'm merely reporting what is out there with the media. As recent as yesterday.

It looks as if the media and the NFL are watching as well.

Minnesota’s athletic department issued a brief statement, saying it is aware of the situation and will handle it internally. Court hearings are scheduled for June 1 and June 29 in Fayetteville District Court. How P.J. Fleck manages discipline will be closely watched, as the program’s success hinges heavily on Lindsey’s availability.

I plead guilty! :>) However, he got caught.

But that does not make me immune to fines, issues with insurance and blots on my driving record. Drake is in the same ball game.
