2026 Second Round Playoff Thread: Minnesota vs San Antonio

You got one on the road.....do you sit him and give him 4 more days?
Unless he has a setback today, no. Spurs game travels just fine but they’re young. Go up 2-0 and they may crack in that game 3

I did not expect Ant to be healthy enough to be effective. I was worried he would slow things down while struggling. I won't doubt him again.
What exactly is Ayo's injury?

Set the playoff block record but,

Wembanyama missed all eight of his attempts from 3-point range, which registered as the most misses from deep without a make by a player in Spurs playoff history.

7’5” and unstoppable in the restricted area, but liked those 3 in this game.
Yeah, about that playoff block record.

His first 2 were clear goaltending, then added another quickly after that. And later in the game when he got 2 or 3 on Randle (can't recall if he got credit for 2 or 3), the first one was clear goaltending.

So he really got 8, and maybe 7 "real" blocks.

The only real reason I care is that I wish that clear goaltending calls would be called, I really don't care about the number of blocks, it took a lot of points off the board.

I like that Finch made a point to address it after the game.

Since 1961, Twins have 28 playoff wins.
Since April 2024, Wolves have 23 playoff wins.

- Courtesy Skor North. One of the points they make from this is that the Gobert trade was a success.

Not sure why the nba cant review goaltends the same way they do 3 or 2. It’s not really debatable on balls off the backboard

If they call it a good block, would everything that happened between that and a dead ball not occur?

Would all occur. If it’s in the last 2 min of the half or game you blow it dead to review on the spot as can change game theory.

Same as they come back from tv timeouts and the score changes, but you still let everything else happen from there. Or you can let coaches call a timeout and challenge it at next possession if you’re worried about the run. I get you may give up a transition bucket, but if you get points back, at least it’s not a 4 point swing and is at least even

Defense is keeping this still within reach. The shots will start falling here.

The difference in athleticism is staggering.

It's like they didn't care. Got their 1 win on the road so packed it in tonight. Abysmal effort.

Yep this. Was apparent right from the jump. Totally disengaged and did fine while sa missed shots. They then just out efforted the wolves into the 2nd quarter run and the game was over
