Was there a "perp walk"? That's not the same as a mug shot.Someone had an axe to grind, you usually dont get the cuffs and perp walk.

C'mon the kid is 20 years old. How much fun is it to drink at home at that age?? Drinking at home is what 50 year old guys with a beer gut do. But please be wise enough to not drink and drive. These days character apparently means nothing so maybe he should get a ribbon for being just like the other kids with fake ID's and minor consumption tickets. Stupid behavior on his part being in the position he is in. Drink at home if you must and toss the fake ID.
If Drake breaks out next season I can see his mugshot becoming iconic. He’d be so good it feels like a crime! May as well roll out the T-shirts now. Both sides can be true. It was a stupid decision on his part. Can't put yourself in situations like that even if it isn't a big deal.
But also having a mugshot and subsequently shared by many major sports media outlets for a fake ID and drinking (which a lot of college kids do) is ridiculous.
Nah no perp walk, just figure of speech with the handcuffs and all, like he committed major crimes. Was there a "perp walk"? That's not the same as a mug shot.
No chancePJ is huge on his Row the Boat culture. I don't see him brush this off. My guess is the Drake gets a full game suspension or at least one-half.
The White House has the Office of Government Ethics, so…Let's not all forget that the team does have a leadership council. I would think it would be wise for PJ to get input from them as well. If not, then why have one?
This is just typical boot camp reject, fake tough guy cop behavior. They for sure drive lifted F-150's (and, yes, I generally support law enforcement)Someone had an axe to grind, you usually dont get the cuffs and perp walk.
Have zero doubt he will be held accountable for his actions by the team/coaching staff but in the grand scheme of things this was a screw up but a pretty minor one. Wasn't driving (at least in the accounts I have seen), nobody was injured, first offense of any kind that we are aware of.....Why it matter? He is the QB, leader of the team and meant to lead by example in all things. The RTB culture, is about being better men, not just football players.
Why it does not matter? 1.) He responded to the cops with honesty and did not fight or use his position to try and bribe/belittle the cops (we would hear about that). 2.) He did what millions of us have done before. 3.) The RTB culture is about learning from the past and moving forward fast and strong.
My guess is that PJ and the team response and punishment will depend a ton on what Drake conveys was learned and the actions he takes to move forward.
You got that right, brother.C'mon the kid is 20 years old. How much fun is it to drink at home at that age?? Drinking at home is what 50 year old guys with a beer gut do. But please be wise enough to not drink and drive.
Genius!You got that right, brother.
Are you the inspiration for the Anthony Michael Hall line in The Breakfast Club (also in suburban Chicago)?Growing up near Chicago, I had a fake Illinois ID, but was too chicken to use it lol
Really? He had a fckg fake ID!1.) He responded to the cops with honesty .....
I, and I assume many others in here, believe he will be disciplined internally by the team. I also assume he will get in front of the cameras and address it at some point.Really? He had a fckg fake ID!
He needs some punishment or the whole PJ culture and leadership mantra is a farce. It doesn't matter about how much you guys think it is not big deal.
It is a Big Fckg Deal!
The fake ID and drinking in a hometown bar shows a serious failure in understanding of what is expected of him. He is PAID big bucks to be the starting QB of a B1G Program and has been selected as a Captain. He is just a year(s) away from trying to QB a NFL Team. He is not a normal college student, he is a face of the team. Minnesota, the B1G and any future NFL team expect him not to embarrass them. This cannot be laughed off, he needs a "come to Jesus" meeting that truly clarifies the seriousness of how he needs to keep his nose clean. Anybody can and will be replaced if they can't take their head out of their ass.
Gotta be sarcasm?Really? He had a fckg fake ID!

Does your heart start to beat fast, and do you look around to make sure there aren't any cops...before you cross in the middle of the street?Really? He had a fckg fake ID!

Nah, I know someone who was out with a group of friends and it was "a big deal" because one of the people in the group was asked to leave by the bouncer.Gotta be sarcasm?

I'm not sure he's ever engaged in such wild and dangerous behavior as having a drink. This poster sounds like someone who'd criticize my grandma's social life at church.Don't drink and post.
Georgia sophomore defensive back Daniel Harris was stopped for driving at a speed of 106 mph on the GA 10 Loop during rainy weather. A speed detection device confirmed he was far exceeding the limit while passing two other vehicles in hazardous weather conditions, the police report said.He needs some punishment or the whole PJ culture and leadership mantra is a farce. Great response. COVID did enough of that. Classic!!!Sure sounds healthier than being out with your friends. Every college kid should head this advice and head straight into alcoholism/depression.
How correct you are, there has never been a high profile individual in sports, politics, Hollywood, ANYWHERE else that has gotten arrested for underage boozin' and a fake ID. Big deal this is not. It is a young kid that made a bad decision. Maybe leave the decision of punishment and change of culture up to the guy who is in charge of that, Coach Fleck. It is HIS call, not your old man yelling at the clouds call. I would guess that the coaching staff HAS indeed had a discussion with the man about this error.Really? He had a fckg fake ID!
