Could have a breakout year now that Bittle is out of the picture

Does ANYBODY know why Turner never played any meaningful minutes with the Gophers, especially when they were down to six functional players? The local newspaper and other media basically ignored this angle or somehow I missed it. I know Turner was out of shape, but they were out of bodies.

Really good pickup for USC, good thing their coach sucks

This was a player I was really hoping the Gophers would look at. He's turnover prone but does a lot of things well. He and Gavin Sykes (Long Beach State to TCU) were listed right next to each other on 247 commits today. Sykes was second in the Big West conference in scoring average as a freshman. I was hoping they might look into Sykes too.

Too slow and foul prone. Going smaller was a better option.

I just can't with the NCAA, they have to be the worst the organization on the planet. I can't even imagine what this is going to look like when suddenly thousands of athletes across all sports suddenly have another year immediately. Would hurt to have tyson want to stay but don't have the money now and he leaves. I mean its easy to say, hey this goes into effect starting 2027 school year right? Give everyone a year to know??

Even with if that is true, it seems like a man this large with no other options would be useful for a couple of three minute stretches each half to give someone a breather. I wonder if his attitude or work ethic was a factor.

Just speculating, but it's possible the Gophers have kept roster spots open for this possibility and may have money in reserve. If not and if this change goes through and Tyson goes elsewhere, que sera, sera.

He didn't enter the transfer portal for no reason, if he got another year of eligibility he's going for the big bucks. Can't blame him.

Now Reynolds in my mind might be a different story. I could see him coming back.

I guess CBB Money Ball is to build a team of wings. Niko kind of does that already.
CBB Money Ball is to have a system, then sign, develop and retain guys. Don't overspend on filling holes via the portal. no different than NFL and Free Agency.

I guess we'll have to have a new term for the players who only will play a minute or two in garbage time but still get a scholarship.
I thought they were already part of Club Trillion (look up Mark Titus from tOSU)

I hate to say it, but reminds me of the Packers (puke). Develop and retain talent (especially when it’s hard to bring people to Green Bay of all places), and then build a culture of winning. It can sound like BS, but once people start to win it’s amazing how it starts rolling. Unless of course we get a massive donation from salzie, that’s the guide!

Injuries the last two season, could be a good get for Michigan IF he is and stays healthy
