Merkle Commits to Gophers

Thomas and Merkle will be a good tandem.

PG and PG depth is an ongoing question, but the team should be strong once again.

Another trip to the Sweet 16 is on the table.

Awesome! Very impressed with the program’s success in the portal this offseason. Three solid P4 starters for three open spots - all positions of need. It should be exciting in The Barn next season! 〽️

Coming really close to buying season tickets. I have never done this before. I’m so pumped for the season.

For season ticket holders is there any resale value (I’m guessing not but just curious)
When caitlin clark came to the Barn with IA, demand was through the roof. Otherwise, not sure.

When we have been unable to use BIG tickets, have been able to sell around cost or above the past 2 seasons. I have 4 seats. Not much luck with the non-conference cream puffs. Our seats are in the $100 seat fee area (was $25 until this upcoming season)

I think she'll be a great fit. She'll be working with teammates who already know how to get the ball into the post and she'll get some of the rebounds needed to cover for the losses of Hart and Battle.

Agree with what's been shared on this already. Other than Iowa - and more so because they have great fans who will come here and pay for good seats - there isn't a lot of resale value as of now.

We live 2.5 hours away from Williams Arena and didn't go to any of the pre-season games last year. We had zero buyers but gave lots of seats away to friends who live in the Cities. So that's a nice aspect of it. A bonus if you will.

We went to all the Big 10 games last year minus one as we were on vacation. For our two tickets, with the $100 fee, it will be less than $600 total if I remember correctly. And we have great seats in the lower bowl. That's a lot of $ I realize but a value compared to other teams and sports. Heck I looked at 2 tickets for SDSU and it was in the thousands for 2 season tickets for WBB!

I share and it’s a great value compared to men’s sports.

Made really good money when selling my Iowa w/Caitlin seats. Otherwise I give them away.

Welcome to the Gophers women's basketball team Gracie Merkle! Looking forward to seeing you and your future Gophers teammates this fall in the barn(Williams arena).

This will be our 4th year with season tickets. While we have better seats now, for the first year we were behind the visitor bench about 15 rows up. Due to my husband’s health, we were not able to go to the Iowa (Caitlyn Clark) game. We sold those two tickets and got more than what we paid for the whole season….

Not sure why people are using this thread to brag about selling tickets to opposing teams so they rival the numbers of Gopher fans?

The Credit-Up program will get you ~80% back minus any donations. The games are priced per opponent so you might get $6 back for Alabama A&M and $16 for Ohio State. Either way you can recover some costs if you can't attend.

That's a great point and you would get likely just as much as you would trying to sell them after ticket fees and such.
