Well, he certainly doesn't lack size! 7'2" and 275 lbs.; German - that's been a good choice lately.

Again, more evidence that Niko is taking a developmental approach with at least part of next year's team.

Interesting. Seems to be a definite project. Can’t beat the size though.

Well, as mentioned above, he's 22 years old. Remember, a lot of these European guys have played multiple years in professional leagues overseas.

Still, right now we will have at least 8 players who are either freshmen or sophomores on the team next season (assuming all the freshman arrive) while having 2 seniors and one junior. We should get at least one more player from the portal.

The picture of him dribbling with his head down like the girls on my 3rd grade team is concerning. But he's relatively new to basketball, we have good coaches who can teach him some situational basketball that can perhaps help us at times. You can't teach height and he certainly has that!

I noticed this too. We need a experienced upperclassman for point and another upperclassman big....Jorgansen and Evans perhaps?

You think he is betting on keeping these guys multiple years? Maybe, but that is super risky in this new world. You can develop but you also have to win enough while doing it, that it makes them want to stay and that it makes your boosters want to pay. I think he is gambling that he can get to the tournament next year with higher end talent that comes in a little raw. Maybe that is exactly what you mean...not sure.

He fits our target profile... 1.2 ppg
Nobody else is doing it like this but I like the potential of the guys we got and hopefully Evans jumps in.
This guy absolutely fits a need and centers are the most expensive in 2026. We got one!

It feels doubtful that they would spend the money on Evans at this point. They badly need a couple of speedy athletes to cap off this roster. I'd do that and gamble that Tomes comes in ready to be what Evans would be.

We have 11 so far if everyone shows. I can't imagine more than two more and maybe just one. I'd say point is #1 but, yeah, we could use another big even if it's just a bencher.

You have to remember who he was playing behind at Michigan possible one of Johnson or Mara could come back… plus Michigan signed Estrella he is a skilled big…

Mara is in the portal too. Just entered recently.

CORRECTION!

Dynes (USC) is in the portal. I confused the tall trees.

Sorry about that.
