Will be interested to know if they are "do not contact" portal entries or not. Assume they come here, but gotta think other schools will be calling.
 

Brasen Boser from ASU entering the portal is an interesting one, Matt Cullen connection there. He’d round out the bottom of our core well, would wonder if another d pickup would mean Harper and/or Phillips not coming next year.

henricks and burnevik are both listed as committed per schloss (who does not put that unless he's absolutely certain)

saw that. and this was part of why i'm fully on board of you commit as many guys as possible that are as good as possible.

My hope is this is indicative we have a silent commit from Smith pending completion of his season

i'd say more that they play trap and don't play transition hockey which requires you to have mobile defensemen. Clark I don't think plays physical enough but who knows with ND who has been pretty devoid of talent up and down the lineup enough to compete consistently

There isn't really any style of hockey that doesn't require mobile defensemen.

I’d disagree. Do you need to be able to skate? Yes. Does every style require all your defensemen to be able to consistently lug the puck? No

All styles are easier if guys can do it all, but some guys stylistically are better playing a trap style versus the wide open game the gophers play.

As the portal hits 201 players today, as of now the Gophers got the number 1 F and the number 1 D available.
Burnevik: #1 in points and goals
Murr: #1 in D points, goals, and assists and 2nd team AA

Obviously noted that other schools choose to reload with first round CHL talent, but the experience will be good.

Give me the experience and proven top production over a guessing game with a CHL first rounder, unless of course it’s one of the really big fish. Better formula for winning it all up to this point.

agree with this 100%. You take all the talent you can, but give me guys who have done it at this level if you can get them while keeping room for guys like Dupont if it works out
