Well, that's debatable...hiring Fickell has not worked but "During McIntosh’s tenure, Wisconsin won 12 team Big Ten titles and national championships." He has only been the AD for less than 5 years.
He has raised a bunch of money for the athletic department in that time as well.
 

Wisconsin is now funding NIL at least in part with tax dollars, I expect them to rebound soon.

Football is king, and that program has undeniably regressed during his tenure.

Ya football is king, I'd agree with that. Was his mistake firing Chryst?
10-3, 11-3, 13-1, 8-5, 10-4, 4-3, 9-4, and a 2 and 3 start and he's gone?
I know Chryst had a Tracy Claeys like charisma but he won.
I just feel like other than football he did a lot of good things. Mark Coyle for instance, hasn't presided over 12 Big Ten titles in the last 5 years or raised a bunch of money.
