Not a "Classic" WCHA Fan?

Michigan, Denver & North Dakota where all founding members, starting play in 1951. Wisconsin joined in 1969.

All 4 were conference brethren through the 1980 - 1981 season.
 





There are moments in life that provide clarity even if you didn't expect it to come. Today is one.

I hate North Dakota way more than I hate wisconsin.

I don’t know about “way” more but yes. Also makes it better because Wisconsin doesn’t have as many actual hockey fans to be obnoxious. Although the bandwagon ones can be brutal sometimes.

Maybe the F’in Hawks can’t play with the big boys in the Big 10 that they always talk crap about lol. Split with one of the worst big ten teams at home earlier in the season and now already in trouble early

Not calling Nodak for a hold and then calling Wisco for that hit is hilarious reffing. Giving the f’in hawks every chance to get back in this game
 

Refs realize they’re being too one sided and call a slash on Nodak because of a huge flop by the Wisco player. Lol this is terrible
 






Can honestly say I wasn’t impressed by either team, which is great. So many turnovers.

Also, I’ve felt like I was the only person on earth who didn’t get the Verhoeff hype this year, and that game he was terrible. No chance I’d use a top 5 pick on him.

Don’t care, I’ve been watching him the whole year. I think he’s first round worthy, but where he’s projected I just don’t understand. His skating is B-level and he’s been a turnover machine when he’s not playing more sheltered minutes.
 

HA. there was maybe 175 posts on grand forks herald and brad schloser last few days about this. there was maybe 5000 und fans there and they acted like there was 20,000 as 1 poster on X said after game the real winners are the Standing Rock Tribe of ND after seeing these und fans continue to wear sioux and do sioux chants 10 years after their tribespeople told them to stop. what ahole's.
 


Neither of these teams will have a problem beating uw
 






For the people who constantly fawn over teams that have a bunch of 1st rounders, Denver has none and Wisco has 1 that has not played since Jan 31st.
 


I have very little faith in uw finally starting to break up the NCHC dominance.
 

Michigan out shot Denver and pretty much dominated play in the game. But Denver was opportunistic when they had the chance, and won the game.
