The U bought Station 19. What do you want to see The U do with it? Keep as BWW? New venture? Something bolder?

They should put in a place that sells the best sub sandwiches, toasted with garlic butter, Italian dressing and a whole head of shredded lettuce as well as serve cheap beer.

I would call it The Big 10.

Station 19 Architects have been set up with an office in downtown Robbinsdale for about a decade. Guess this closes out that chapter completely.

I'm hoping the U actually has a vision here and will use it as additional buildout space for athletics.

The U didn't buy Station 19 because they want to run a bar. This will be just one less place to go before and after games, when there's already a lack of options. Pretty disappointing.
Correct, it actually doesn't meet their mission so they also couldn't run a bar (they can however lease out the space for a bar)

Good grief, really? Malcolm Yards and Surly are a ten minute walk or two minute train ride away. You'll wait longer than that to get out of wherever you park for the game.

I don't consider either of those as feasible options in the winter for basketball or hockey games.

I’ve heard rumblings of gopher tennis being shutdown and those courts becoming apartments.

Station 19 will be leveled for varsity pickleball which begins nationally in 2031.

Great use of that space IMO!!!!

Meh, we have few nearby options and more leaving, it's a bummer

Campus Pizza/Bar Luchador
Hell, Applebess is gone, now chik-fil-a

It was nice having options very close to stadium

They will jam a huge 10 story building there.

You're probably right, and it'll be so Minnesota to have them turn it into offices for administrators or something.

Wasting money seems to be their mission, so I have great faith in the mission being accomplished.

And will still be better than BWW.

I kid. Or do I...

It's a two minute ride on the train. I do it for every hoops and hockey game I attend. Super easy. If it's above 40-45 degrees, I enjoy the walk.

Well since they closed Hooters at MOA maybe they can relocate there?
How could you make hooters at MOA not at MOA

I see the vision but the logistics don’t work

Would have to call it hooters at station 19

Hockey fan upset to learn there is winter weather on way to game

Dang. I was obsessed when that became a BWW during my college days. Didn't have one in my little country home town.

The food quality has gotten a little worse over the years...
