Go Gophers!!
Correct, it actually doesn't meet their mission so they also couldn't run a bar (they can however lease out the space for a bar)The U didn't buy Station 19 because they want to run a bar. This will be just one less place to go before and after games, when there's already a lack of options. Pretty disappointing.
Good grief, really? Malcolm Yards and Surly are a ten minute walk or two minute train ride away. You'll wait longer than that to get out of wherever you park for the game. The U didn't buy Station 19 because they want to run a bar. I didn't say there are no options -- I said there's a lack, and now one less. Agree to disagree.Good grief, really? Malcolm Yards and Surly are a ten minute walk or two minute train ride away. You'll wait longer than that to get out of wherever you park for the game.
oh fuck offThey'll turn it into a gender reassignment clinic
Meh, we have few nearby options and more leaving, it's a bummerGood grief, really? Malcolm Yards and Surly are a ten minute walk or two minute train ride away. You'll wait longer than that to get out of wherever you park for the game.
You're probably right, and it'll be so Minnesota to have them turn it into offices for administrators or something. The U didn't buy Station 19 because they want to run a bar. This will be just one less place to go before and after games, when there's already a lack of options. Pretty disappointing.

Wasting money seems to be their mission, so I have great faith in the mission being accomplished.Correct, it actually doesn't meet their mission so they also couldn't run a bar (they can however lease out the space for a bar)
It's still one less place to go. I don't see what's wrong in pointing that out.Good grief, really? Malcolm Yards and Surly are a ten minute walk or two minute train ride away. You'll wait longer than that to get out of wherever you park for the game.
As a person who works at the U, I think could do some stuff better, but I find it amazing what general public complains aboutWasting money seems to be their mission, so I have great faith in the mission being accomplished.
And will still be better than BWW.The U didn't buy Station 19 because they want to run a bar. This will be just one less place to go before and after games, when there's already a lack of options. Pretty disappointing.
I’ve heard rumblings of gopher tennis being shutdown and those courts becoming apartments.
Station 19 will be leveled for varsity pickleball which begins nationally in 2031.
Great use of that space IMO!!!!
It's a two minute ride on the train. I do it for every hoops and hockey game I attend. Super easy. If it's above 40-45 degrees, I enjoy the walk.I don't consider either of those as feasible options in the winter for basketball or hockey games.
Do we know it is closing? Do we know other bar/restaurant won't replace BWW if it does close? It's still one less place to go. I don't see what's wrong in pointing that out.
How could you make hooters at MOA not at MOAWell since they closed Hooters at MOA maybe they can relocate there?
