Wow, can't believe that things actually went MY WAY. Got home and turned the game on. Saw the Gophers score the last bucket of the third quarter, and then watched them dominate the fourth! Usually I'm bad luck for any Minnesota team that I turn on to watch. I typically watch 16-2 runs against us. So happy for the Gopher women. And the fact we won at home after the NCAA seeded us to host.
 

Great 4th quarter. Good win. They even went small in the 4th quarter for awhile. Hope they remember that on Sunday. Need to move the ball play faster no more one on one dribbling into presure pass it around.

Jack we need you to watch the whole game on Sunday!
 

Whew, had me sweating for three quarters! So glad this team can find a way and not be like most Minnesota teams and faltered. Gonna have to play a little bit cleaner on Sunday if they want to make it to the sweet 16
 


Quite the turnabout in the 4th quarter. And they finally were laughing and having fun again.
Remembering Tonga in a boot when seeding was announced. Maybe that another reason to go small when Hart sat?
 

It’s so cool how they push the gas pedal down at crunch time and accelerate, hit that boost button!!!

I look to where they are now and what they can become in the next 2-3 years. After finishing 4th in the BIG a loss here would be considered a setback, maybe not from the beginning of the season, but from the quality of the team as of this morning. I'm ecstatic they turned the game around. But if they lost at home to a 13 seed, 100% some portal candidates would turn their heads elsewhere.
Again, very very happy that these great girls are going to play together again on Sunday.
 

I think we got a couple of good calls and it kind of turned the momentum. Bershers fouls the girl on the drive and they call charging on the GB girl was the beginning.

It was Tori being able to play that changed the momentum. It's always Tori. You look at every loss and it's clear how different we are when she is not healthy or is in foul trouble. We outscored them 30-9 in the fourth quarter because that's when Tori finally got the green light to play and was in for most if not all of the quarter.

lol.....Gophers may have benefited from a couple calls in the 4th quarter....but did you see the final score? How many gifts do you think they got?
 



Sundays game will be a defensive battle. Hopefully the refs let both teams play physical. GG set up to hopefully have a monster game.
 

Battle was terrific on both sides of the ball, only letting Guyer get off 6 shots. I bet Guyer doesn't score just five points very often. (I do wish the Gophers had driven at her more often. Either they'd have scored or she would have fouled out.)

I definitely would rather play with her than without her but the fact that we got out of the third quarter only down four was huge. It was looking like it was getting away from us. Once McKinney was able to get back in the game she was able to make a big difference. McKinney was able to get the offense going, everybody was involved again.She is so good on defense, having her to be able to guard their point really took GB out of their game. Cut the head off of the snake and they were done. I’m glad she was able to make a difference. On to the next one.
 




Did anyone see any recruits at the game? I know for the men, they sit right behind the bench - not sure if it’s the same for women’s and if it changes due to it being a tourney game.

Were U @ the game ? GB got almost every 50/50 call until the 3rd quarter. The awful officiating put McKinney on the bench n we all see what happens to the flow of our offense when she’s not in the game. The refs might have called a few make up calls, which I hate, but overall they did not help the Gophers win. We shot 35% to their 55% in the 1st half and by the end of the game both teams were around 45%. Go Gophers !!

No but I saw PJF n his wife Heather and Nico Medved which was great to see them supporting the team. I hope there were a few recruits because the Barn was rocking and I think it’s an amazing atmosphere when the crowd gets into the game.

U seem like a passionate good woman’s basketball fan. I have to restrain myself from getting negative too early as well. Part of it is our MN sports history but we all have seen the positive progression of this program. I hope they got the tourney “ nerves “ out of their system 2day. Go Gophers !
 

I thought the refs were fair, some calls for us some against. Amaya did not want her career to end and Sophie was great, but have to credit the othere for getting the ball to her! Aaso big shout out to the fans for bringing it in the 4th quarter and showing up in big numbers

The refs were terrible as they almost always are in women’s games. The refs didn’t turn it up a notch in the fourth quarter, the Gophers did.

They were terrible but I think they were equitably terrible, at least.
