Drew Wolitarsky Retires

I'll always remember the 2016 Indiana State game where Drew and Mitch did their greatest show on turf impersonation.

Drew never counted against the American player cap because his mom is Canadian. Americans playing in Canada have different standards than Canadian players because of the limited roster slots for them.

I don't think this is accurate. I don't have the proof but I would imagine the vast majority are high D1.
Well I doubt that's true if most of the players have to be Canadian? But perhaps the correct thing is that the vast majority of the American players are FCS or higher.

9 teams. 45 man rosters = 405 players.

More than half are from D1. See post 9.

Your link in post 9 says that about 70% of the Canadian players played in the Canadian College system called "U Sports".

Have you ever even watched a CFL game in your life?

You could make the claim the difference in talent between the NFL and CFL is about the equivalent of the difference between DI and DII football. But there's no chance a DII team would be able to compete against a CFL team.

Thanks, Drew, for the memories here in Minnesota and in Canada. Ignore the comments from the dinks that have derailed this thread. Those guys are still around.

This is correct. Worded much better than I did.

I, nor anyone, was ever actually trying to directly say CFL literally is NCAA DII. Of course not. I just worded it lazily and that's my fault.

I would have thought it would be obvious from the context of the post I originally replied to: how is it that a guy like Drew Wolitarsky, all due respect, can have a 10 year professional football career? Because, obviously, the CFL is nothing at all like the NFL ...
