Morehead RB Taye Reich commits to the Gophers.

Had not watched the video yet but awesome to hear a kid talking about wanting to play here for a long time and already saying he has no intention of transferring.

Obviously nothing is guaranteed in this landscape but gotta love seeing guys who truly want to be here get that opportunity. Hopefully he has a long and really successful Gopher career.

Elite athlete.

4.51s 40-yard dash; 36" vertical jump.

That's burst to explode through gaps.

3 star recruit, so don't get too excited.

He’s gonna be an easy one to root for that’s for sure, also was invited to the Team USA baseball ID tournament last summer.

Offer list: Kansas State, NDSU, Wiscy, UND, Colorado State. Gophs.

This is the type of kid that used to be ignored by the U, go to one of these schools, and kill us in a random September game. This is the culture and program PJ has built. These kids aren't growing up in the dark ages anymore

Get them in the program an develop them out of HS. If they leave it's likely due to not being good enough. If you don't get them out of HS, it will be harder to get them later. I like this shift in recruiting.

Nice get. Who was the last Moorhead Spud to make a difference on the gridiron at the U? Steve Tobin in the 70’s?
