I saw a tweet that he left the game injured. Any updates? If he and JCJ are both out, they have zero chance to win any game.

Not sure where to put it, but Niko said JCJ actually had been dealing with the foot since the Michigan State game. I wondered if he hurt it against Maryland. If you go back and watch the end of that game (and I wouldn't wish that on fellow Gopher fans), he had a very easy layup to take the lead back after the Coit 3 (which was a debacle in itself). I thought at the time that JCJ quick shot that layup due to his lack of lift, but I wonder if he just kind of lost his balance a little bit due to his foot. Worst case scenario should have been a jump stop on two feet and getting fouled while going up for either a possible 3 point play or 2 free throws. Of course as the story of this season goes, he just flat out misses...and of course an injury might have played a role.

As many have said, we have no scrubs to play. My guess is that Niko is letting Turner sit out to preserve this season of eligibility for his inevitable transfer this Spring. I don't think he'd help much, but not having any size to play behind Grove is brutal. From what I understand you can only have 15 players on the roster. Willis/Vaihiola/Omot/Stephens?(Maryland transfer not looking up his name)/Turner are out for the year. That gets you to ten bodies. We've got a walk on redshirting for some reason, that gets us down to nine bodies. JCJ being out gets us to just eight eligible players. The 8th guy who doesn't play is a former high school bench player who (if I remember correctly) was a manager until Eric Reader (the big walk on under Ben Johnson) decided to give up basketball over the Summer. For a program that has had many "seasons from hell", we somehow found a way to go far beyond bad luck to the point that being forced to play Blake Hoffarber at point guard looks somewhat reasonable in comparison.
