***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN STATE AT MINNESOTA, IZZO TO COMPLIMENT MEDVED POST-GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

PSU for some reason is a pretty good home team. I never thought that game was a gimme. They played MSU, Michigan and Illinois all tough at home. I'd be surprised if we lost to NW, MD, and Rutgers at home. Oregon and UCLA probably toss ups. At IU and UW would be surprising wins, at least for me. And the Michigan game could get ugly like the Purdue game. I'd say 4-4 is the most likely outcome, but 5-3 is certainly possible.

Yeah, I think 4-4 is most likely too. I could also see Washington (currently tied with us) finishing 4-4 and those two teams meeting in the BTT.

Agreed.

Looking back into the non-conference part of the season when we still had Vaihola and Willis and had hopes of getting Omot back, it still appeared that this was maybe a 6 Big Ten win type of squad. If at the time one would have said we won't have any of those guys and our current starting 5 would have to go 35+ minutes each and that we would likely finish with 8 Big Ten wins....

Nobody would have thought that possible

Even on a relative basis, expectations exceeded.

  • @Ore - favored by 0.2, 51% chance of win - about as toss uppy as you can get, and it looks like Bittle will be back by then (possibly even this weekend against PU)

Yep, he's back and Oregon giving PU everything they can handle currently.

If he comes out of today healthy, we will be a much bigger underdog in Eugene that the analytics will show.

In true Gopher luck, the Ducks team we see next weekend will be much closer to the one that was picked to finish fifth in the Big Ten and ranked in the Top 25 by many.
