Two weeks ago we're sitting at 3-1 with 2 big home games and a program feeling great. Now we're 3-6 coming off 5 straight loses, a few heartbreakers and our best player most likely is out tonight. Sigh-U-Mah.

This team will win 2-3 more games of that I'm confident. I'm still pissed Traitor Carrington was the hero against us. Ugh. That sucks. It's going to be very very difficult to win at wisconsin in any situation this season, especially one without Cade. But Niko will have the guys ready to fight.

GET 'ER DONE MEDVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is Carrington a traitor? Because he transferred? Can’t take it personally in this era of college ball. How many transfers does Minnesota start? Are they all traitors to their previous schools?

That said, I hope that dang traitor Morez Johnson has a horrible game against Illinois next month. lol.

Will be interesting to see what rotation looks like if Tyson can't go or is severely limited. Given Cade's status I am a little surprised that the spread is under 10 as we would seem like pretty massive underdogs, extremely short handed, on the road, and without our leading scorer.

So Turner has to get minutes tonight right?
If he doesn’t, it’s a sign that either he’s injured/unhealthy or Niko’s doghouse is infinitely deep.

The guy hasn’t played notably awfully in his limited court time, has he?

I figured he wasn’t playing because he has missed ultimatums related to conditioning and his overgrown toddler body. If that’s the case, this is a real dilemma for any coach. Stick to your principles or acknowledge principles are mutable in desperate situations.

I predict we see him tonight.

Unfortunately it seems he has a hard time guarding chewed gum that is stuck to the floor.

If the dude could make a layup, he'd be dangerous.

It's not that he transferred it's where he wound up and the way he left

For me it's not even that he went to Wisconsin. As much as I hate those guys there is no denying that they have been an excellent program for 30+ years at this point.

But the way he left absolutely deserves criticism.

Here’s to hoping the next 25 years in the rivalry turn in Minnesota’s favor. This year’s games strike rock bottom: lose at the buzzer at home and send a team on the road that barely has enough players. Can’t make it up.

-we've gotta work with the crew we have and we've got the cards we're dealt this season-

I wish Reynolds was directed to make drives to the rim more. If there's one S-tier stat he'd have in a video game offensively, obviously driving to the rim and finishing. At 6'4" 220 frame that’s no joke—and we’ve seen flashes of that brilliance at times reminiscent of his impressive reels v lesser competition in portal. We basically saw that on the game winner sans goaltending blunder….unfortunately our refs preferred calling the game from their knees but— out of our control.

Hell, I'm fine with Durkin taking his 7+ 3's a game*, why not have Reynolds at least attempt 4-5 aggressive drives to the rim per game as this is clearly his natural MO and where his greatest chance to shine is if things do “click” and he gets some more reps v high-major comp. doing what he naturally excels at. maybe he even smooths out his fav hideous behind the back gamble.

Scope the box scores from our best wins—
IU: 38m,17pts, 7/11, 3/4ft 5r, 4a
NU: 40m,13pts, 4/6, 5/6ft, 6r, 13a
IA: 39m, 22pts, 9/13, 4/6ft, 5r, 4a

* [Still really hope things 'click' for him sometime before end of FEB. Could easily see him getting in the zone and going on multi game tear hitting 5+ 3's for a stretch of games. Seeing Durkin’s smile light up after he sees one go in is comparable to watching a homeless child served a buffet and given a permanent home, CMV]
