Prediction: the next Gopher coach will not be among this group nor will he contend to enter into it. Techs can be coaching strategic. I suppose you could argue ejections could be strategic too but I think most ejections the guy is just losing his mind. I believe the top 3 listed just have bad tempers.

That's crazy that the Hurley brothers are 1-2....bet those family dinners are spirited events with a bunch of hotheads.....:)

Maybe they have an family competition going on. Dan winning on total techs but Bobby has him on average per season.

It begs the question: What was their dad like? After all, their dad was the winningest coach in high school history.

Adrian Wojnarowski wrote a great book The Miracle of St. Anthony many years ago about their dad and my recollection (it's hazy) was that he was very intense, but not antagonistic like his boys. And of course, a HS legend probably has the refs swallowing their whistles a bit more on his behalf than at the college BB level. I'd recommend the read though, I really enjoyed it.
 



When I look at what happened between Hopkins and Wayzata the other night, that's the toxic asshole culture that people like Hurley set the tone and example for.
 








This wouldn’t be a surprise for either Bobby or Danny. Both are king size aholes when they are coaching. Bobby has never agreed with a call against his team. NEVER! They deserve to get tossed almost every game.

He recently turned down a coaching offer from LA Lakers. He is loaded too.

People should not go overboard.

Randy Moss had his antics. Fans liked it. Most of his antics were fine, others not. I love Randy Moss! He has chilled. People like that stuff, just not too far
