4 games on BTN today with some good match ups. Have a family gathering so will miss some of the battles.

Hard to watch IL beat MD doing all the little things that Goldy didn’t in the last minute. Glad they won.

Not even the worst teams in college basketball can blow leads like the Gophers did, even if they intentionally tried to lose, so it's not a surprise that Illinois won.

Gophers next opponent, Michigan looks tired after their 2 OT victory over Oregon. Wolverines free throw shooting has been horrendous on their northwest trip.
That was a great game to watch! Washington's defense looked a lot like ours, so hopefully that'll help us against Michigan. I do think Washington moves a lot faster as a team on offense and was more efficient than we typically are though, so that may be the difference.

Actually, their shooting in general sucked. (And they joined Maryland in top-ranked B1G teams losing to unranked ones )

I've watched quite a few of the conference games so far and it's looking like it's going to be UCLA against the field. And the rest of the conference looks like it's going to be a cluster. Michigan, Maryland, OSU are all beatable. I don't expect PSU, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Purdue Northwestern or Indiana to make the NCAA tourney field. The other 12 schools should all have a chance to make the tourney field. It's possible all could get in, but injuries and bad losses could impact that.

I'm surprised that Michigan doesn't seem to be any better than last year. Possibly some chemistry issues? It was weird to see Kim Barnes Arico looking totally checked-out, sitting on the bench for most of the game. Washington, on the other hand, has a couple of additions (a transfer, a freshman) that will make them much better than they were last year.

Hopefully the Gophs are working on the 2-2-1 pressure that we all know is coming lol

We will need the Battle that was at Indiana to show up to keep us in the game.

I remember at least one game at Williams Arena where KBA had that "checked out" look. It was attributed to an illness

Michigan State defeated Illinois 81-75 in East Lansing. Both teams are 3-1. Grace VanSlooten left the game early in the third quarter, returning to start the fourth; but quickly left for the bench and an ice bag for her left shoulder. She was injured with shoulder to shoulder contact on an Illini screen

Watched MSU hand Illinois their first conference loss. Both squads are very talented. Still don't understand how MSU lost to Wisconsin, although Badgers much improved over recent years. MSU's Van Slooten is a really good player and the Illini's Wallace isn't far behind. Both teams well-coached and looking likely to be NCAA tourney bound, although probably too early for those projections.

That one was all about three points shooting. WI shot almost 50% from three in that game, MSU more like 25%. And both teams put up more than 20 attempts
