With Illinois’s victory over Tennessee in the Music City Bowl, the B1G is 6-0 in bowl games. USC (with several key opt-outs) currently in a tight one with TCU. Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska and Ohio State have games tomorrow. Indiana and Oregon play on Friday. Iowa, Michigan and Indiana games are against SEC opponents. SEC record currently sits at 2-5. 😁

SEC fans will remind you that they have opt outs .... as if nobody else does.
 

SEC will tell you about the depth of their teams and the depth of their league… but their opt outs hurt more than yours
 

USC blows 10 point lead in 4Q and loses in OT to TCU. B1G now 6-1.
 

Tough New Year’s eve for the B1G?
Nebraska a 14.5 underdog to Utah
Michigan a 7.5 underdog to Texas
Iowa a 5.5 underdog to Vanderbilt
At least Ohio State is favored over Miami (fixed it)

Ohio St is favored over Miami (not Alabama).

I like Iowa in the game, too. Hope Michigan's defense shows up against Texas. Nebraska probably gets waxed by Utah, but you never know with the coach situation.
 

I'll be cheering for Indiana to wax Alabama tomorrow.

I think OSU wins no problem, but I do think that a talented Alabama team could beat the Hoosiers.

Agree with both of those but honestly don’t really care about the results of either

If the big ten is better it’s better for Mn in some respects and worse in others



I just hope everyone has fun
 


The SEC is really 1-4 if you take out the game they played each other (Alabama-Oklahoma).

Lot of folk's like Alabama in that game. Real test for Indiana’s defense.
 

Iowa leads by one score at the end of the 3Q. Iowa has run only 39 plays, but is averaging 8.0 yards per play.
 

Absolutely thrilled to see Miami punk Ohio St.

Hurricanes DC had a day.

I thought Ohio State would win as well, but I guess that is why you play to game on the field. I do not like Ohio State but I still cheer for them against the SEC and ACC teams and Notre Dame.
 


Maybe there still is a P4, not just a P2. Miami beating Ohio State. Utah crushing Nebraska. The SEC losing a bunch of games. Yes, I know opt outs play a big role. Miami's only two losses this year were to ACC teams and they beat two big dogs from the B1G and SEC in the CFP where players aren't opting out. It's good for college football if there still is a P4. I think things continue to even out over time. Money is more spread out in the US than good football athletes.

The last round of TV contracts were bid assuming a big 2. They might have been wrong.

People forget TV eyeballs drive the contracts, not necessarily the quality.
More people watching a game doesn’t mean the teams are better, it means more people watched


People also forget that even if Missouri beats Kansas that doesn’t mean Vanderbilt is better than Iowa
