Cool!They went 9-3 and beat UCLA 35-10.

At least you realize it wasn't "an argument", progress at least on that front. Then why force the comparison when it's completely irrelevant? It was a stupid take even before doubling down.
You're either 57 or 65 depending on your feelings on dead people voting for JFKNot that old. Born while Nixon was President Elect. You do the math.
So we shouldn't pitch a fit and refuse to go?So nothing changes either way
I agree
No downside or upside either way
Vote early and often. You're either 57 or 65 depending on your feelings on dead people voting for JFK
it doesn’t matter either waySo we shouldn't pitch a fit and refuse to go?
Yes, but I also question why year in and year out, we manage to give away 1-2 games and then bitch, whine and moan about bowl placement. We did this to ourselves as usual. Beat Northwestern. Best Cal. It’s that simple. You’d be playing on New Year’s Day if you were 8-4 or 9-3, but we give it away…annually.
It would be the most Minnesota thing ever to have the bowl streak broken by New Mexico. They are good. Better than most here realize. It’ll be their superbowl so the Gophers better bring a different team than the one that traveled to Chicago.
At least you realize it wasn't "an argument", progress at least on that front.
I would hardly call the initial statement a "take" either. It was intended as an innocuous statement.
I stand by it though, nonetheless.
Have fun watching Bowl Season.
I don’t care if ND joins a conference, but I love the fact that they just told the NCAA to go F themselves.Notre Dame just opted out of any bowl game this year.
Quit being babies and join a conference.
Whining losers.Notre Dame just opted out of any bowl game this year.
Quit being babies and join a conference.
As usual, you’re not a deep thinker.Whining losers.
Hearing Rate Bowl
It wasn't an argument with anyone other than yourself, since nobody was arguing that the ISU/KSU game in Dublin was less important than a middling bowl game. It was just a lame attempt to discount bowl season by hacking away at a strawman of your own making.
NCAA has nothing to do with the CFP.I don’t care if ND joins a conference, but I love the fact that they just told the NCAA to go F themselves.
There was no argument. It was a statement of opinion, that both teams and fanbases have already had a unique football experience.
You projected (& continue) the statement to statement into something it's not.
Nobody needs me to "attempt to discount bowl season". Iowa St & Kansas St have already done that, along with a long list of Players, Head Coaches & Assistant Coaches for now hundreds of teams in the past decade.
Enjoy the Bowl Season!
Personally I paid far more attention to Week Zero.
It was a poor attempt to discount bowl games by saying that the KSU/ISU game in Dublin was a more meaningful game. An opinion aimed aimed towards me despite the fact that I never said otherwise.
Again you are projecting things I did not state.
Would the CFP exist without the NCAA? No, it wouldn’t.NCAA has nothing to do with the CFP.
This is another misguided failure on an incorrect interpretion for what you posted #557.It's great when people post dumb things, double down, and then act like they never posted it rather than show an ounce of integrity on a message board where everyone is anonymous.

I think it would.Would the CFP exist without the NCAA? No, it wouldn’t.
Do they count for ACC filling it's bowl slots? I thought that was part of the deal of them playing ACC games, is they get access to some ACC bowls? Or maybe that's just the thing with the Orange Bowl ... and perhaps that was before the 12 team playoff. Not sure how it works nowNotre Dame just opted out of any bowl game this year.
Quit being babies and join a conference.
Something might have existed in its absence, but who knows what it would look like.I think it would.

First three absolutely deserve big fines. Big XII should go higher on the fines.Baylor, KSU, ISU, Notre Dame all out for bowls.
I would love to see the bowls blackball Notre Dame going forward. Say what you will about ISU and KSU, at least they have a penalty owed to their conference. If Notre Dame makes the CFP so be it, if not, they can just be done no questions asked.First three absolutely deserve big fines. Big XII should go higher on the fines.
Not sure if ACC has the authority to fine ND for skipping out, not sure how the updated bowl deal works.
I believe Notre Dame has a football agreement to play 5 ACC teams each year as an Independent. The benefit for Notre Dame is having 5 P4 games they don’t have to negotiate and leaves them 7 games with flexibility to play their traditional opponents. And the benefit for the ACC is 5 high profile games and additional TV money.Do they count for ACC filling it's bowl slots?
