Strib caught my eye with an article on colder weather moving in for Turkey Day and beyond. Decided to look a couple of days later for the way-too-early look at the Battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe gameday and this is what's there:

We can let GWG jump in on what the models show but looking a little sloppy for a 2:30 PM start for the Border Battle.

Let's beat the Wildcats first this weekend but might have our first real weather adversity at home for this season at the end.

EDIT: 2:30 start confirmed.

Beat the stinkin' Badger! Apologies to Wayne R.!

Oh. Beat them Northwestern football players too.

I am trying to think of snow games at TCF/HBS

Ohio State - 2014
Wisconsin - 2019

Any others?

There have been flurries in a couple other games (2018 Purdue comes to mind) but the 2014 Ohio State game was the only big snow game with the other game you mentioned, 2019 Wisconsin, having its moments of snow and a little accumulation.

Saturday is trending better weather-wise. No extra moisture likely on any dilly bars being consumed.

Agree with MNVC that getting yesterday's Offensive performance (plus actually making FGs) benefits from a good weather day.

Neither the US nor European models can offer a guess on the Defense. Sigh.

2019 - punting from their 47. Something like that.
There was a nice dusting in the 2nd half of the 2018 Purdue game. Cashman pulled off a strip-and-score on David Blough just after halftime and, when the snow followed, the Boilers acted like a SoCal team that just wanted to get back on the plane. Gophers 41, Purdue 10

I’m surprised no one mentioned it before. I was wondering if I was having a fever dream of remembering that one. I want to even say the game was on ESPN2 as well and I don’t know how I remembered that. XD

There was a great rejoicing in the land after that one.

We ended up 6-6 and went to Detroit and destroyed GT's triple option.

Good times that set the stage for 2019...that if we all recall started off very rough with very close wins in the non-conference part of the schedule. Then ran the B1G even through PSU but ran out of gas for IA and WI. Beat Auburn though with tough-nut big boy football.

After today I’m not sure high of 29 and windchill of 20 is trending better😂

I was at the 1981 game. I loved seeing the wave of snow, snowballs, thrown out of the stands as Bucky and the Wisconsin cheerleaders ran by.had seats in the upper half of Section 2.
Dad, I and a buddy of mine were in the upper part of Section 2 for that game. There was some Wisconsin fans down a ways with the #1 foam fingers. They’d raise them up and people would plaster them with snowballs. Someone sitting close by got Bucky right in the forehead with one. Lots of cheers for that!

I was sitting in the student section, halfway up. I was one section over from the guy who would bring the taxidermied rabbit.
