The Golden Gopher 2027 lineup of Big Ten home games is a marketing dream for selling tickets at Huntington Bank Stadium. Minnesota has five league games (happens every other year) with a glitzy lineup of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Washington and Wisconsin.

Go Gophers!!

Tough schedule...PJ will be lured away before 2027 after another 8-4 or even 9-3 season. 2027 will be a meat-grinder, even for Nick Saban. I predict it will be a year-zero or season-zero for someone not named Fleck.

Not trying to be a dink.

Technically, I don't think a GH poster can be a dink. Others may expound on what another GHer might be with this opinion but not me...

As to the opinion myself, I just don't see it. Would be disappointed to see I'm wrong...and I know a lot of folks see snake oil sales right in line with the HC...but it's hard to consistently fake "we're happy at and in Minnesota" like Coach Fleck and Heather are doing in all settings.

Everyone has a price of course but I think lots of money is what it would take. I don't see any programs breaking into their endowments to hire away our coach. Just don't see it.

Ohio State, sure. I don't think Illinois and Washington are big draws. Lord willing, Wisconsin will still be terrible and Indiana will be in transition with Cignetti off to coach the NFL's expansion London Werewolves.
Ya know, that would be a genius name for a team in London. That or the London Fog.

Slow news day for Shama.?....looking ahead to the 2027 home schedule....

The only thing I feel confident in saying about those 5 teams is that Ohio State is going to be good. The rest might be, but in this era of roster turnover and coaching changes I don't think there is any way to know what all those teams are going to look like in 2026 much less 2027.

That would imply Shama has fast news days...

Especially when there is a 50/50 shot the schedule changes

But succeeding!

That is two seasons out. Sooooooo many things could change between now and then, including the actual planned home slate of games. Teams rise and fall very quickly now. Not sure why people continually are convinced Fleck is going to leave every year. It is tiresome.

Maybe next year is the year we beat Iowa. That would be something. Need to develop our line a bit & get some hot shot portal receivers.

Shama really wrote about two seasons from now?

Next year has
Mississippi State
Iowa
Michigan
Northwestern
UCLA

That's pretty good as well for only 4 home conference games.

Big portal off-season coming likely with the schedule over the next couple seasons.
yeah, even considering the source it is a weird angle to take looking at the home schedule 2 years out.

Be strange seeing PJ on the UCLA sidelines but other than the Northwestern game should have full crowds.

I think the 2026 home schedule and overall season has a lot of potential to be a big year if the Gophers can keep the band together through portal and coaching carousel season.

Indiana has also become a problem for the 26 and 27 seasons.

I thought the same thing. What an oddball thing to write about. It isn't new info and there is an interesting schedule for next year that comes first.
