AFAIK he still works for Hubbard Broadcasting. I've seen him filling in on KSTP TV.

Weather reports aren't always 100% accurate, so whether he was hammered shouldn't matter. Its about the pronunciation of scientific words. Slurring is perfectly acceptable.
