***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN ST AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Maybe, like the officials in OT, the Mayo Bowl will bend the rules for us.

🤞
What would you be saying if we got screwed in OT and everyone was upset about it? Why do I feel like you would be rather critical of people blaming the refs...

(Which is exactly what you are doing only somehow on behalf of the team we played)

Clearly a few guys on here where you only see them during a game. They will praise (cough, cough), but they love to trash and condemn the program as a whole, particularly the coaching staff when they can. Unhappy trolls today as the Gophers pulled it off.

Seems like a mistake on the head official just announcing the penalty immediately without discussing first. I’m guessing the ref in the endzone overruled the one who threw the flag
The ref in the end zone is the one who threw the flag..

We got help from MSU, not the refs.

The timing of the calls was...odd...but MSU played very physical with the Gopher receivers and mostly got away with it until late. The Gopher D Backs didn't even get close enough to play physical in the second half!

There were actually two in the area. One that threw the flag, and the other one off to the side in the endzone on the edge. This one may have overruled it or at least caused the discussion.

Was it the DEI hire who called the phantom p.i.? She should have been home in the kitchen making dinner.

Drake is more Farmall H than Porsche but that was a gutsy call. I've changed my hate the OC to strongly dislike, at least for now. :)

Ya, he got lucky. Dive in on that one. Great stiff arm though!
I know right? Or a simple extend of the arm holding the football would have broken the plane. Instead, he tucked it tight to his body and extended the wrong arm. He's only a Frosh. He'll get better at this.

I think they're coached, or they should be, to never extend the ball into the endzone unless its a do or die 4th down play. Extending leads to fumbles into the endzone.
