Correct - he had injury and took medical redshirt year.

A step up? Yeah they are in Florida but their last tournament appearance was 2015 and this season was their first over .500 since 2017.

If you want to call it lateral that's up to you. We haven't qualified for conference tournament since pre covid. The fall has been steep

FIU is neither a step up nor a lateral move (fortunately? Unfortunately?). I thought this past year they had a chance before entering the Big Ten portion of the season. I suppose there were some injuries but the lack of depth on the roster was extremely glaring. Hopefully that was managed this summer and through the incoming high school class.

We will see.
 





Gophers add their first 2027 in Tyson Moore, brother of incoming freshman Tristan Moore.
 

Couple recent additions in veteran transfer Michael Starr for this year and 2026 Chase Wilk from the west coast.
 

Sounds like the Gophers have the 3rd highest ranked portal class for next year in the Big Ten and 35th in the country.

Minnesota @ Penn State May 1-3. Just dates for home versus Nebraska and location/dates for UCLA and Washington still to be known for conference schedule.

Also, Lozier transfers to Kansas.
 


2026 roster is up on website. Taxdahl and Argento not back. Mosh was in portal but back and in fall camp. Also, another player on roster is Foley native LHP Logan Winkelman (...if he was announced earlier, I missed it...). 12 starts for D2 Missouri Western State this past season (Indian Hills CC and South Carolina Upstate the previous 2 years). Would be another left-handed option with experience besides Whelan.

37 players, but no idea if/who has DSA status. If Mosh and two incoming freshmen are DSAed, we are then fine roster-wise...?

Good to see it finally updated I count 36 did someone move off? I kinda wondered if it would be Mosh and maybe Elbeery in the designated spots. The crumbs looked like Mosh was back so good to see that confirmed, may have changed after Lozier entered the portal. I had saw they were following Winkelman but don't think there was ever any formal announcement. The Argento one was known as it sounded like he was just gonna be done with baseball.

I thought I counted 37, but I don't recognize anyone off, so I probably miscounted.

Also, with Nebraska coming to Siebert Field for final weekend of regular season May 14-16, that leaves April 17-19 for Gophers to be in Los Angeles to face UCLA, and all conference series are known.

Kansas schedule has them at US Bank Stadium for 4 games (Wed, Fri-Sun) against Gophers Feb 25, 27-Mar 1. That traditionally has been the weekend for DQ/Cambria tournament, and I thought I saw or read something earlier that it would be back, so not sure if plans fell through...

It appears Gophers will be in DeLand, Florida (Stetson University location) opening weekend, as Ball State schedule has a game vs. Minnesota on Sunday, Feb 15. Saint John's is also involved in the weekend (along with Stetson), so guessing we will playing both the Red Storm and Hatters as well.
 






North Dakota State at Minnesota twice on Tuesdays...March 17th and April 21st.

(North Dakota State does not have a single non-conference home game on their schedule. Yikes.)
